The Story of Us

How Our Spark Began

Picture of How Our Spark Began

Rochelle and Colby both grew up in Southern Oregon and first crossed paths in 2014 through mutual friends. Life took them in different directions, but in 2018 they reconnected and sparks flew the very first time they saw each other again. That same year, Colby moved to Portland for the Air Force, and in 2019, Rochelle joined him there to begin her nursing career and start their new chapter together. Over the next five years, they filled their lives with laughter, adventures, and countless memories. Then, Colby surprised Rochelle in the most beautiful way by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him in the hills of Ashland.

Colby feels honored to share this special moment with them by his side.
Sarah Allen
Sarah Allen - Matron of Honor
Sarah has been Rochelle’s best friend since high school, but their story goes back even further. They first met in first grade, hung out a few times growing up, and became inseparable in high school as cheerleaders and having classes together. From driving around town after getting Dutch Bros in Rochelle’s busted Toyota to endless laughter about the silliest things, they’ve made countless memories over the years. Even now, living four hours apart, they still make time to see each other and pick up right where they left off.
Tenaya Watson
Tenaya Watson - Maid of Honor
Tenaya and Rochelle have been best friends since 6th grade. They first crossed paths at soccer practice in 5th grade, but their real bond started in 6th grade math class—and they’ve been inseparable ever since. From getting lost on the Oregon Coast with no phones in 7th grade to late-night drives in high school and running off together during nights out, these two have shared endless laughs and memories. Tenaya has been by Rochelle’s side through every season of life, so it’s only fitting she’ll be right there on the biggest day yet.
Sadie Childers
Sadie Childers - Bridesmaid
Sadie and Rochelle first met in elementary school when Sadie moved from California, but it wasn’t until 6th grade that their friendship really took off. From that point on, they became each other’s go-to for endless laughs and navigating life’s ups and downs together like when Sadie’s foot fell through a pool pipe at Rochelle’s 12th Birthday at Super 8. Rochelle is so thankful for a friendship as easy and strong as this one.
Journey Brennan
Journey Brennan - Bridesmaid
Journey and Rochelle first met as toddlers, but it wasn’t until middle school that they reconnected and became close. From there, their friendship grew even stronger, and by high school they were inseparable, sharing countless fun memories like late-night talks, working shifts together at Harry & David, post-work food runs to Shari’s for shakes, or getting chased at Bear Creek Park by a man in the middle of the night. Journey has been a part of so many adventures and laughs over the years, and Rochelle is so excited to have her standing by her side on such a special day.
Kimberly Day
Kimberly Day - Bridesmaid
Rochelle and Kimmy go way back, all the way to when they were just two years old! They started kindergarten together, were separated for a few years, and reconnected in fifth grade when Kimmy moved to White City. From that moment on, their friendship picked up like no time had passed. Through every stage of life, Kimmy has been a constant source of laughter, encouragement, and memories that they will always cherish whether it’s singing together , making code names for the boys they liked (Pandora), or walking 4 miles to go shopping at the mall.
Tristian Sitz
Tristian Sitz - Best Man
Colby and Tristian met in 2012 at North Medford High School. They quickly became best friends playing baseball together. Over the years, they’ve shared countless memories, supported each other through life’s ups and downs, and built a bond that has only grown stronger with time. Having Tristian by his side as he marries Rochelle is a full-circle moment for Colby, and a true testament to their lifelong friendship.
Ayden Deardorff - Groomsman
As Colby’s little brother, Ayden has been his co-op partner in life, whether it was growing up side by side or spending late nights gaming together. Their bond is unmatched, and Colby couldn’t imagine saying ‘I do’ without his little brother standing with him.
Conner Hadley - Groomsman
Colby met Conner in the Air Force, and their friendship has been solid ever since. From long days in uniform to plenty of good times out of it, they’ve shared memories that will last a lifetime. Colby’s honored to have Conner standing with him for one more unforgettable moment
Devin King - Groomsman
Colby met Devin during their time in the Air Force, and it didn’t take long for them to hit it off. Whether it was sharing laughs during the tough days or making memories outside of work, Devin has been a loyal friend every step of the way. Colby’s excited to have him standing by his side as he starts this new chapter
Nicholas Allen - Groomsman
Colby met Nick through Rochelle and over time their friendship grew into a bond that feels like family. Nick has been there for so many great memories, and Colby is proud to have him by his side for one of the most important days of their lives.
Dean & Damon Kennedy

Unfortunately we are not allowing children as much as we love the littles. To help us with planning, please note that the invitation is extended only to the guests named, and we kindly ask that no additional guests or plus-ones be brought without pre approval from the bride and groom. Dress Code

SEMI-FORMAL

We’d like you to dress up in what you feel comfortable in but appropriate. Our color palette includes champagne, gold, black or any neutral colors. Please avoid shades of white out of respect for the bride. Here’s some recommendations in case you feel stuck on what to wear! For women: Cocktail dresses, dressy skirts or pants with a nice blouse, or a classy jumpsuit. Heels, dressy flats, or wedges are perfect. For men: Dress pants with a button-up shirt and tie, or a suit without a tie. Dress shoes recommended or nice clean shoes.
