Highlights: Often called the Florence of the South, Lecce is known for its Baroque architecture. Visit the Basilica di Santa Croce, the Roman amphitheater, and the charming streets filled with artisan workshops.

Eat at Vico dei Sotterranei, 00 Doppiozero, La Cucina di Mamma Elvira and Drink at Quanto Basta or Pezzeto (good tapas too).
Highlights: Known for its beautiful old town on a tiny island, Gallipoli is surrounded by crystal-clear waters. Enjoy the lively atmosphere, seafood restaurants, and stunning beaches nearby.

Nearby beach of Baia Verde and the more remote beach of Calette Punta Pizzo.
Highlights: Otranto, a coastal gem, is known for its stunning Castello Aragonese, the beautiful Otranto Cathedral with its incredible mosaic floor, and the serene Lago di Otranto. The town has a rich history influenced by different cultures and offers spectacular views of the Adriatic Sea. Don’t miss a walk along the lungomare (seafront promenade) and a visit to nearby Baia dei Turchi, a beautiful beach surrounded by nature.

Highlights: Grotta della Poesia is one of the most famous natural swimming pools in Puglia, located near the town of Roca Vecchia. This breathtaking limestone cave, filled with crystal-clear turquoise water, is perfect for a refreshing dip and is surrounded by archaeological ruins. The beauty of the sea meeting the rocky coastline makes it a popular spot for both relaxation and exploration. After swimming, you can visit nearby Torre dell’Orso beach or the ancient ruins of the town.
Nearest Train Station: Lecce.
Highlights: This coastal town has beautiful rocky sea views and winding streets leading to centuries-old churches and chalky houses covered with climbing vines and cacti. In the centre, clusters of buzzing aperitivo bars are packed with locals on their passeggiata. Antonio Conte's favourite place in Italy.
Nearest Train Station: Polignano a Mare (on the Bari-Lecce line, frequent trains from Bari).
Bride and Groom tips:
For a sundowner and the famous view onto the Lama Monachile beach, grab a drink at Aquamarea. For a nice pizza with live music head to Bella 'Mbriana. For a good sandwich go to Pescaria. For gelato go to Lucarelli. Other bars: La cueva, Diplomatica, Hops, B-Local, Fly Calaporto
Highlights: A picturesque coastal town with a charming harbor, medieval architecture, a beautiful cathedral and a bustling piazza. Explore the narrow streets, visit the Castle of Charles V, and enjoy fresh seafood by the sea.

Highlights: Known for its unique trulli houses, Alberobello is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These whitewashed, conical-roofed homes make for a picturesque visit. Wander through the narrow lanes and it is small enough to explore in a day.

Farm to table lunch at Terra Madre is a must
Highlights: Fasano is a residential town which offers charming historical streets and nearby Masseria farmhouses for a rural experience. Don’t miss the ancient ruins of Egnazia along the coast, or take a short drive to the nearby beaches of Savelletri where you will also find beach clubs and restaurants.
Nearest Train Station: Fasano (on the Bari-Lecce line, with regular connections to both cities).
Bride and Groom tips:
Not loads to do in the town itself but good bars and restaurants. Lunch at Pizzeria Portico, Dinner at Locanda di Martume or Silve, or Il Cortiletto (drive out of town). Drinks at Corazon or Da Michele vini & gusto.
Highlights: One of Italy’s most beautiful villages, Locorotondo is famous for its perfectly circular layout with panoramic views and white buildings. Stroll through its flower-filled streets and enjoy a glass of the local sparkling wine, Locorotondo DOC.
Nearest Train Station: Locorotondo (local trains connect with Martina Franca and Alberobello).

Aperitivo at one of the bars along Via Nardelli, Dinner at U'Curdunn
Highlights: Cisternino is a charming hilltop town known for its whitewashed houses, narrow alleyways, and cozy piazzas. The town offers panoramic views over the Valle d'Itria, and its old-world charm makes it perfect for a relaxed stroll. Cisternino is also famous for its fornelli pronti, local butchers that cook meat on the spot, offering a delightful culinary experience. Don’t miss the town’s lively evening atmosphere and beautiful churches.
Nearest Train Station: Cisternino (located a few kilometers from the town, on the Bari-Brindisi line, with shuttle buses or taxis available).
Highlights: Known as the White City for its dazzling whitewashed buildings, Ostuni sits on a hill with panoramic views of olive groves and the sea. Explore the medieval streets lined with rustic bars, the beautiful Cathedral, and the bustling piazzas.
