Andrew and Ryan visited SMA for Andrew's 40th birthday and absolutely fell in love with the small city. From its architecture and charm to the food and mezcal, SMA is a great place to spend a few days exploring. Andrew and Ryan are very excited to share one of their favorite places with you on their special day.

There are 3 airports near SMA: Querétaro Intercontinental Airport (QRO) in Querétaro (75 minutes outside of SMA); Guanajuato International Airport (BJX) in Guanajato (1.5 hours outside of SMA); Mexico City International Airport (MEX) in Mexico City (3.5 hours outside of SMA). We flew in/out of QRO when we recently visited and it was a great, small airport!

You will need to arrange a ride from the airport to SMA. We recommend contacting the hotel/Airbnb/casa you will be staying at to see if they can set one up for you. They usually offer good rates. If you are looking to arrange a private ride on your own, please reach out to Ryan and Andrew. They would be happy to help with transportation recommendations from the wedding planner and can also help coordinate group rides with other guests who may be arriving at the airport at a similar time!

If you know a group of people coming, we highly recommend getting an Airbnb/casa. Many even come with a housekeeper and breakfast. Plus, this will be more affordable than a lot of the hotels. While we don't have a hotel block due to the size of many hotels in SMA, we do have some recommendations under the "Travel" page.
