For the beginning of July, average daytime highs are 72-75°F and overnight lows are 50-54°F.
Some rain and periodic thunderstorms occur as well.
Is this super high altitude?
No! The valley floor sits at 3,396 feet.
The venue is at 6,562 feet, just 1,000 feet higher than Denver.
Mont Blanc itself reaches 15,778 feet, which you can see from the valley!
Are you doing a registry?
No gifts, please! Your presence across the ocean is a gift to us :)
Will you have bridesmaids or groomsmen?
Nope! We intentionally picked a very small group, so everyone there is pretty much our wedding party ; )
Wear what you like and don't worry about me throwing a pink satin dress at you!
What's the dress code for the wedding day?
Semi-formal. This is a mountaintop lodge that gets a little chilly at night.
Ideas for ladies: midi or tea-length dresses or 1-piece rompers. Sweater or shawl recommended!
Ideas for guys: dress shirts, slacks, optional tie, optional sports coat.
Ladies feel free to wear sandals/wedges/flats, it's not the most stiletto-friendly environment. If you do opt for a little lift, choose something comfy to walk outdoors in—there will be some uneven surfaces/grass, and you have to board a cable car!
Where will the ceremony and reception be?
The ceremony will be on the terrace, weather permitting. Chamonix is warm in the summer (70s) but can get chilly when the sun drops. Dinner and reception will be inside the restaurant.
I'd like to come but I have to see how things shake out—should I RSVP yes?
If you are planning to come, please RSVP "yes." If something comes up, it's okay to cancel. We need to know the maximum, not the minimum.
