Please note: the island is only accessible by ferry. As we get closer to the wedding, we will be collecting travel information from guests to help make to processes as seamless as possible.
The island has extensive wildlife, which you can see while exploring the island or specifically in the nature preserve. You might see some playful dolphins or manatees on your boat ride to the island or in Safety Harbor.
Explore the island’s pristine beaches, which offer a rich collection of seashells. Stunning sunrises and sunsets are easy to catch from the island. Other activities include kayaking, fat tire biking, fishing and hiking.
There are a couple restaurants on the island and both have great food options. We would highly recommend the tacos at both locations. Mango's Bar & Grill (open 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.) has a wide selection of blended drinks and a public pool. Mainstay and Barnacles Bar (open 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.) has outdoor games and a great beachy vibe.
If you decide to extend your stay past the weekend, there are various boat excursions you could book - including a day at neighboring islands Cayo Costa and Cabbage Key, or fishing trips.
