Please note: the island is only accessible by ferry. As we get closer to the wedding, we will be collecting travel information from guests to help make to processes as seamless as possible.
The wedding will take place at Casa Blanca on North Captiva Island in southwest Florida. The secluded, car-free island is only accessible by boat. It’s located between Pine Island Sound and the Gulf and north of Captiva Island.
For first time visitors, we understand that island transportation might seem daunting. Please know that we hope to help make this process as seamless as possible. We will be reaching out closer to the date to help arrange transportation needs and answer any questions!
There are no hotels on the island. However, there are many homes and townhomes available for rent. We have access to a block of homes through Vanage Vacation Homes where wedding guests can stay. When you fill out your RSVP, we'll get more information from you to help coordinate housing.
If you are able to arrive in Florida by midday on Friday, we highly recommend that you stay on North Captiva Island. All wedding activities will occur on island and we'd love to include everyone.
If for any reason you need to stay off the island, there is a hotel next to Safe Harbor Pineland - The Tarpon Lodge. The Island Girl ferry dock is just a few steps away from the Lodge parking lot. There are also private rental options (like Airbnb and VRBO) in the Pine Island and Cape Coral areas that are 5 - 30 minutes away from the ferry marinas. Pineland and Bokeelia are the closest (5 - 10 minutes away), while Cape Coral and St. James City are a short distance away (15 - 30 minutes).
The island is only accessible by boat. There are two public ferries: Island Girl Charters and Island Club Ferry. It takes about 25-30 minutes to reach the island by ferry. Both ferries run about every 2 hours from 7:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.
The last Island Girl ferry leaves Pineland at 5 p.m. and the last Island Club ferry leaves at 6 p.m. Parking is available at the marina the ferry departs from, as well as across the road. Guests should allow a minimum of two hours to get to the ferry from the time their flight lands.
Please arrive at the Pine Island Marina 15-30 Minutes early to allow staff time to load luggage and/or groceries.
The one-way cost for adults is $38 (or $59 round trip), kids ages 3-11 is $36 (or $54 round trip), and toddlers 2 and under ride for free.
Parking costs $10 a day.
Please plan to arrive at The Island Club Welcome Center 30 minutes before your scheduled ferry time to allow all luggage and/or groceries to be loaded. You will take a 5 minute shuttle ride from the club to the marina. *Note: use the address provided above, not The Island Club at North Captiva.
The one-way cost for adults is $29.
Parking costs $10 per night.
The Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) is the main airport with flights for most major airlines. The Punta Gorda Airport is a small, regional airport that has flights (sometimes cheaper) primarily with Allegiant Air and Sun Country. Both airports are about 45-60 minutes from the ferry marinas.
Ubers can be used from the airport, but we recommend pre-scheduling transportation with Pine Island Taxi.
