Q + A

Should we plan to stay onsite?

We really hope you'll be able to, but no pressure. We'll be able to assign cabins to try and make it as efficient as possible for everyone, but we understand that the option is a little pricey, especially if you are not used to California's ridiculous cost of living. If you think you might be interested but aren't sure, please tick "yes" on the RSVP so we reach out to include you in planning, and we can talk through any questions you have. We're not worried about running out of cabins, so don't stress about that!

Are kids welcome at the wedding?

Very! We've planned for everyone to come with their families, so if you would like to bring the whole gang and make a vacation out of it, please do. If you'd rather have a get away for just the adults, that's okay too. You'll have an opportunity to add guests to your party when RSVPing, so please include anyone you are planning to bring. Depending on the number of children attending, we'll have activities for them as well as baby sitting if we have enough of a creche going to need it. Oh, and plus one's are also welcome, but you'll be responsible for keeping an eye on them...

Where is your registry?

We don't have one. We are in need of neither things nor funds for things, and we know many of you already support the causes we care about. The vast majority of our guests are giving us the gift of a trip out to California to see us, which we truly appreciate. We'll have a box to collect cards if you feel like writing us a note, but please don't buy us anything!

What should we wear?

Whatever makes you feel pretty! We do recommend comfortable, sturdy shoes for walking up and down hills and off of paved roads. If you are staying onsite, there might be a little exercise involved, so please indicate in your RSVP if there are any mobility concerns for your party. We will have access to a golf cart and someone to whisk you about the place if need be! Waterfall Lodge is tucked into the Santa Cruz mountains and surrounded by redwoods. It can be cool and foggy, and October is a very changeable month in the Bay Area. Highs in the month can get up to the 80s, and lows at night down to the 40s. It's not impossible that we might get a little rain. As always in the Bay Area, bring layers!

Covid Safety

Gatherings still carry some risk these days, so we will ask everyone to take common sense precautions against Covid to help protect your fellow guests. All events except the dancefloor will be outside, barring disastrous weather, so this should help reduce the risk of transmission. Please take a covid test before you travel to the event, and consider masking up when you're on the road. If you are feeling sick when the day comes, we'll be super sad to miss you, but please stay home.
