Waterfall Lodge

We're excited to share the beauty and peace of the redwoods at Waterfall Lodge with our guests. Please read on for some important details about the venue and our stay there.

Comfort and Preparation

This is a rustic venue! Please resist the urge to wear high heels, should you have one. Most events will take place outside, so we recommend plenty of layers for all manner of weather. Sunscreen and bug spray might also be a good idea, and we'll provide some supplies in case you forget anything. The pathways on site are lit at night, but particularly if you are staying onsite, a flashlight or headlamp is not a bad idea!

We are planning to keep you well fed, but there are also kitchen facilities at the lodge that guests can use during the stay to prepare anything informal or take care of any additional needs.

General Policies

The party will wind down at 10:00pm Sunday night, and anyone not staying on site will need to depart at that time. Any hanging out in cabins after hours must be quiet and calm!

Smoking is only allowed on the Lodge patio near the propane fire pit and prohibited in any other areas of the site as well as inside buildings. We will be in a delicate and fire-prone ecosystem at the height of fire season, so please exercise all caution. No sparklers or other open flames are allowed anywhere, and candles are only allowed on the Lodge patio.

All California state laws concerning alcohol consumption will be observed, and the staff have the right to discontinue service to anyone disruptive or deemed to be unfit to consume alcohol, as well as to remove anyone from the property if they cannot behave. Possession and consumption of illegal drugs is not permitted on the property.

Unfortunately, pets will have to be left at home (unless they are service animals), as will any confetti, rice or other little bits that sometimes get thrown around at these things. Maybe we'll have bubbles!

Staying the Night

We hope everyone will be able to stay onsite with us, but we understand if rustic cabins are not your cup of tea! They are adorable and well appointed, but please plan to bring most amenities (shampoo, hairdryer, etc.) like you might to a rental rather than a typical hotel.

It is important that we are all cleared out before 10:00am the next morning, ideally with enough time for us to take a quick check of the cabins and ensure everyone has all of their things. Coffee and light snacks will be served at the Lodge from 7:30-9:30am on the morning of the 14th. Please leave cabin keys either in the cabin or at the Guest Hub on your way out.

It is also important that we bring all food and other items inside the cabins before we turn in for the night, so as not to attract wildlife. Security will be onsite until we are all tucked into bed. During the event there is also a golf cart and driver so that we can assist anyone in getting to and from cabins who might need it.
