It all started on October 9th, 2020 when a girl agreed to go on a date with a boy she didn’t know at a Thai restaurant down the street from where she lived. Due to a global pandemic, they met with masks on and ate dinner outside even though it was drizzling rain and pretty chilly. After the date, she texted him that she liked him a lot and would like to see him again, and the rest is history.

Dating during the pandemic came with its ups and downs. Downs included not being able to dine inside for a while, limited events to go to, and having to decide pretty early on whether to include each other in your ‘covid circle’. Some of the ups that came out of it were spending a lot of time getting to know each other and getting creative with things to do together. One of those things that we could do together was go skiing.

Julian had never skied before but always wanted to try. Sarah had grown up skiing in Austria, and it was one of her favorite hobbies. Sarah took Julian skiing for the first time. Julian took to the sport very quickly, and now enjoying the mountains of Washington together is one of their favorite pastimes together. They cannot wait to see what their future holds!
