If you're planning on staying in Washington for longer than the weekend, we recommend exploring some of the beautiful sights and activities that Seattle has to offer! While we definitely encourage you to visit Pike Place Market and the Seattle Space Needle, here are a few of our favorite things to do.
Paddle boarding is one of our absolute favorite summertime activities in Seattle. You can paddle (or kayak) anywhere from Lake Union to Lake Washington to the Seattle Sound. Rental places are easy to look up online. See the link for more information and ideas!
Whether it's to Bainbridge Island or Whidbey Island or Vashon Island or the San Juan Islands, taking a ferry ride from Seattle is a must, even if it's just to go there and back in one ride.
We love summer baseball! If the Mariners are in town, it's always worth going to a game and enjoying a Seattle Dog while cheering for the M's, regardless of the outcome :)
One of our favorite places to take family and friends who visit Seattle is Ray's. Between their amazing seafood (they have non-seafood options as well!) and the breathtaking views of the Sound from the Ballard neighborhood, it's a great place to experience Seattle.
The Ballard Brewery District is one of our favorite places to enjoy friends alongside of good drinks and food. With over a dozen breweries in a one mile radius, you will definitely be able to find something you enjoy, even if you aren't the biggest beer fan. Breweries are also kid-friendly and have great food trucks to select from!
