A long time ago, in a trauma center Emergency Department far far away, a popular young nurse nicknamed "Slerch" was tasked with orienting a new grad named Josh. They spent 12 fateful training shifts together.

Days turned into weeks, and shortly after, Josh left for another ED. The pair split ways for about a year, until Josh remembered how strong of a nurse Sarah was. He asked her to join the new team.

Ever since, the dynamic duo has been working side by side in the same department, their nursing skills and their love for each other maturing every day. "Hey Josh, would you mind holding [insert various body part here] while I put a tube into it?"

Other than being ED nurses, Sarah and Josh share many interests such as love of the outdoors and love of animals.

Sarah and Josh's home in Niantic includes four pets:

Nala (German Shepherd Dog), Sabine (Standard Poodle), Mr. Kitty (half-tailed, self elected mayor of the household), and Little Kitty (the best, most normal cat ever). Clyde, Sarah's leased pony, lives about 30 minutes away.

On April 10, 2022, Sarah, Josh, Nala, Sabine, and Clyde were on a hike at the farm. It was the first day that Josh carried the ring in his pocket. The right moment presented itself, and so did the ring. Sarah said "YES!"

On September 7, 2023, after more RN place of employment changes, the couple decided to get married "on the books" to help with health insurance / appointment issues. A beautiful backyard ceremony and a sushi dinner helped the twosome say "I do."
