Tribally owned and operated since it opened on Aug. 11, 1998, the Museum brings to life the story of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. It serves as a major resource on the histories and cultures of Native Americans in the northeast and on the region’s rich natural history.

Abbott’s Lobster was founded in 1947! Over the decades, we’ve become as popular for our seafood as for our lobster. You’ll love our steamers, stuffed clams, clam chowder.

Camping, hiking, and tour the old castle / museum! Some dog safe hiking.

Worlds largest multilevel indoor go kart track. Other activities include ninja wipeout course, trampolines, axe throwing, and other games.

Mountain bike trails and near the beach walk. Dogs welcome, however, must stay off the sand to protect the piping plover, a nesting sea bird. In 1986, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service listed the Great Lakes population as endangered and the Northern Great Plains and Atlantic populations as threatened. Current population estimate is only 7600-8400 individuals. Save the plover!

Niantic - Of course! Our current hometown. Small downtown area with many restaurants, cafes, antique shops, breweries, and steps away from the beach. Day passes available.

Essex - Ivoryton playhouse, Essex steam train and riverboat, Connecticut River museum. Other unique shops and inviting eateries.

Old Lyme - quaint town with historic buildings, art galleries (Cooley gallery), Florence Griswold Museum, Ferry Landing State Park.

Old Saybrook - for the historical folk - landmarks General William Hart House and the Old Saybrook Town Green. Another quaint downtown, now a vibrant small-community spirit space with restaurants, cafes, and the Katharine Hepburn Cultural art center.

Stonington - Near mystic. Salt water farm vineyard, historic homes, unique shops, marina views from public waterfront walkway. Lighthouse museum.

Clinton - village historic district is listed in the national register of historic places. Historical society museum, lobster landing, boat tours, hiking. Shore road is a lovely scenic drive. Charter a boat and catch one off-shore in the bluefish capital of the world. Beginner safe fishing.
