Mountain bike trails and near the beach walk. Dogs welcome, however, must stay off the sand to protect the piping plover, a nesting sea bird. In 1986, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service listed the Great Lakes population as endangered and the Northern Great Plains and Atlantic populations as threatened. Current population estimate is only 7600-8400 individuals. Save the plover!

Clinton - village historic district is listed in the national register of historic places. Historical society museum, lobster landing, boat tours, hiking. Shore road is a lovely scenic drive. Charter a boat and catch one off-shore in the bluefish capital of the world. Beginner safe fishing.
