Our love story began on the rooftop of The Virginian Hotel at Skyline before Kelsey and JR's (matron of honor and best man) engagement party in April of 2022. Little did we know, our mutual best friends had been trying to set us up all along. We spent the rest of the night getting to know each other and hanging out, surrounded by both of our friends and family.

At the time I was living in Denver, CO and Andrew was living in Charlotte, NC. I flew back to Charlotte where we had our first official date at Stir in South End. Andrew then came out to visit me in Denver and we had a great time exploring Red Rocks and going to the Rockies baseball game. A few weeks later I moved back to Lynchburg, VA and I would make frequent trips to Charlotte. As our love grew, so did our commitment to each other. We dated long distance from Lynchburg to Charlotte for almost a year until I eventually took the leap and moved down to be with Andrew. We now live right outside of Charlotte in Fort Mill, SC with our dog Dixie, who has stolen both of our hearts.

We got engaged October 10th at Providence Country Club in Charlotte. I was told we were celebrating Andrew's mom's 23rd anniversary of being cancer free. I had never been to the club before, so Andrew took me outside to show me around and to watch Mark, Andrew's brother, and him putt while we were "waiting for his mom's friends to show up." As we got outside on the grass, Andrew dropped down to one knee! I knew it was happening soon, but for it to happen on that day was a complete shock to me! After that, his parents came down to congratulate us and to my surprise, our best friends came around the corner too. How Andrew pulled it off without me knowing is still shocking!
