Lighthouse Trolleys Land & Sea Tours
Tours are held at 10:30am daily (Tues-Sat) and can be booked in advance. It's a great way to learn about the history of the island and see the main sites in a morning!
Fort Frederica National Monument
Part of the National Park System, the remnants of this fort date back to 1736.
St. Simons Island Lighthouse Museum
Learn about this history of the island, the lighthouse and take a climb to the top!
Jekyll Island Club National Historic Landmark District
About a 30-min drive from The Inn, we recommend taking a morning or afternoon to visit the historic Jekyll island with its Gilded Age island retreat, The Jekyll Island Club, where The Federal Reserve was created. There are tours available daily.
Georgia Sea Turtle Center
Also on Jekyll Island -- this is a must for kids and adults alike!
The Tree Spirits of Saint Simons Island
On one of our first dates, Shannon showed Paul the Tree Spirits of Saint Simons Island and its still one of their favorite activities to search for them when they are out riding bikes around the island. There are 11 of them in total and you can use the map here to find them.
