Are you getting married at the Catsle Celebration?
Nope. We got married July 19th, 2025 at Cecret Lake in the Wasatch Mountains. It was a tiny wedding, with just Paul and I, 4 friends, and 1 photographer.
The celebration in 2026 is where we hope friends and family will join us to celebrate with food, drink, and activities!
How should I prepare for the hike / walk?
Pick the activity based on your physical and mental ability.
Want a chill stroll? We'd love for you to explore Red Butte Garden.
Want a hike with a great view of the city that will get your heart pumping, but isn't an epic adventure? Do the LivingRoom Hike.
Want to spend ~4hrs enjoying nature and getting your heart pumping? Do the Mt. Wire hike.
Please wear good shoes with tread and comfortable hiking clothes. You'll be at high elevation, which means the sun is going to be intense, so bring a hat and sunscreen (seriously!). Bring plenty of water, especially if you're doing the hikes and snacks to keep you going!
I have kids, can they come?
Unfortunately due to Utah laws, anyone under 21 cannot join us on Sunday. Second Summit is considered a bar and therefore everyone who comes inside or outside must be 21 or older and have a valid ID.
If you're traveling to Utah and bringing your kids for the weekend, let us know ASAP so we know how many kids (and ages) we need childcare for!
However, we're excited to celebrate with them on the hike/walk!
What should I wear at Second Summit?
For Second Summit, wear whatever you feel most comfortable in!
We will be wearing comfortable casual / athletic attire (e.g. shorts, athletic skort, yoga pants, t-shirt), and athletic shoes so we can play pickleball and walk around.
We'll be outside under patio coverings, but the weather in May can be fickle, so check the weather and bring layers!
You said we have the private space outside. What happens during rainy or cold weather?
Don't worry, Second Summit has an awning in case it rains or snows. Bring layers though, the mornings may be chilly and the afternoons get warm. Wear sunscreen too, the UV index is high in Utah!
What about gifts?
No thank you!
We're just happy for you to join us in our celebration.
What food will you be providing at Second Summit?
We're planning on a food truck or other catered food with gluten free and vegetarian options.
What drinks will you be providing at Second Summit?
Second Summit makes their own cider, so there will be plenty of that. They also make cocktails and have non-alcoholic beverages. Come thirsty friends!
I love cider and want to drink a lot of it!
Great, we're excited that you're excited about the cider and other tasty drinks! We'll be joining you in that celebration.
Please plan to have a designated driver or get a Lyft/Uber/Taxi home or back to your hotel. We love our family and friends and want to make sure you stay safe. Plus, Utah's DUI limit is lower than most states.
Can I bring my own water to Second Summit?
No. Water bottles are allowed, but must be empty on entry. Free self-serve filtered water is available!
What's the parking situation like at Second Summit?
There's a parking lot, but it's not enough for our group. There's also free on-street parking. Carpooling or taking a Lyft/Uber is encouraged!
Is the Private Family Dinner for everyone?
The Private Family Dinner is only for the wedding party and immediate family.
There's limited space and unfortunately we cannot accommodate everyone. We look forward to celebrating with everyone else on Sunday!
