It was September of 2018 and Fall semester at Iowa State University was in full swing. Sierra and Liam met during a weekly meeting of the student volunteer organization they were members of and hit it off right away. So much so that 2 weeks later, they were dating, even though Sierra was getting ready to move to Spain for a semester in a few short months.

Their relationship would be tested with long distance that Spring semester before getting a chance to reunite the summer she returned, taking turns between visiting each other’s hometowns. The next few years would be a mix of semesters together at school and summers away before a year of long distance as Liam graduated a year before Sierra.

January of 2022 kicked off the year that ended long distance and Sierra and Liam moved into their first place together in Lake Geneva. A year and a half later, Sierra was promoted at work and they soon found themselves moving to the Milwaukee suburbs. They settled into their new place and by April of 2024, they were engaged!
