Milwaukee General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) is about 50 to 60 minutes away from the wedding venue, making it a convenient option for travelers flying in. The airport offers a variety of car rental services, so you can easily pick up a rental upon arrival to get around. With a range of airlines and direct flights to many major cities, it’s a great option for those flying into the area.
Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) is approximately 60 to 70 minutes away from the wedding venue, making it another great option for those flying in. O'Hare is one of the busiest airports in the world, with numerous direct flights from cities across the country and around the globe. There are plenty of car rental options available at the airport, but if you prefer public transportation, there are also several ways to get to Richmond.
To get from O'Hare to Richmond, you can take the Metra train. The airport is connected to the Rosemont Metra Station via a free shuttle, where you can catch the North Central Service (NCS) line. This train will take you to the Grayslake station, and from there, you can transfer to the Union Pacific Northwest Line (UP-NW) to reach Richmond. The total train journey typically takes about 2 hours.
Alternatively, you can take the #250 Pace Bus from O'Hare to the nearby Rosemont Metra Station, where you can connect with the same train routes. While this option may take a bit longer, it's another good public transit route.
We recommend checking schedules ahead of time to make sure you catch the right connections, and feel free to reach out if you have questions about transportation!
