Parts of Asheville were devastated by Hurricane Helene at the end of September, 2024. We were very fortunate that the Poplars did not incur severe damage and that all of our vendors remained in business. While there are pockets within Asheville and near Bearwallow Mountain that will still very much be in "recovery mode" in May, we understand most of Bearwallow Mountain and the mountain roads leading up to it to be in good condition. If it helps, Mike originally wanted this to be called "mountain linens," which Sinclaire thought was even more confusing, but perhaps that lands for you. For Saturday, dress appropriately for an outdoor ceremony and perhaps lean into what you think will complement the forest backdrop. Think colors like sage and forrest green, beige, soft browns, and pastel yellow or pinks. Men, we encourage you to wear something other than black or navy, even if that means dressing down a bit. If all of your suits are dark, feel free to do a blazer or just button down shirt with a tie or suspenders type of thing. Ladies, know that we'll be on grass and gravel some so keep that in mind as you select your shoes and dress length. For Friday night, show up comfortable but confident. Whether permitting, we'll be out on a lawn most of the evening, so, again, choose your shoes accordingly. Men—this could be a short-sleeved button-down kind of look. Ladies—flowy skirts or pants or comfortable dresses. P.S. Sinclaire doesn't care if you wear white or off-white to either event. VIBES...

Since this is a semi-intimate wedding with a hard numbers cap, we're asking guests to understand that we're limiting wedding guests to 18 and over. We will be opening Friday night to some of our younger generation family members, but ask friends to try to find child care for the full weekend's events.
