I haven't been to Catholic Mass in a while. What do I do with my hands?

In general, kneel when everyone kneels, stand when they stand, etc. Important exception: Toward the end, practicing Catholics will consume the flesh of God, uniting themselves in an intimate way to Christ, His followers, and the institution of the Catholic Church. It is the most sacred part of the day. For non-Catholics or non-practicing Catholics, we ask that for the integrity of your beliefs and ours, you refrain from Communion. For those who have been away from the Church for a while, we encourage Reconciliation so you can fully participate in this celebration.

Do you have a registry?

Between the two of us, we're set on appliances that can fit in a DC apartment. If you'd like to help us start our life together, we would most appreciate cash, check, or venmo (@Sophia-Sheehy).

Can I bring a plus one?

Marriage has its perks! Including the extension of this invitation to your spouse. Unless otherwise specified, please just bring yourself if you are unmarried; we promise the other guests are cool.

What should I wear?

Attire for the ceremony and reception is formal, black-tie optional. So tuxedoes and floor-length gowns can be worn but aren't required. If men opt for a suit, it's best to wear a formal suit, white shirt, and a tie.

Do I need to pick my meal?

Nope! We will be serving family style and there will be vegetarian options. No vegans.

When should I RSVP?

Please RSVP by March 31 or reach out if you need more time.
