Daniel and Sophia’s journeys began in 2018 at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. Sophia was starting her freshman year while Daniel was a sophomore. The first time they met, Daniel was the sober driver for his fraternity that night and was shuttling around Sophia and her friends to a party. Of course, Sophia fell hard for the man who was driving her around in his Subaru all night … well not quite yet. Eventually, Sophia's close sorority friends in Zeta and Daniel’s close fraternity friends in Alpha Sigma Phi all became very close. Over the years Daniel and Sophia grew closer and would find themselves spending hours talking, building a strong friendship, and relying on each other when they needed someone.

They eventually realized that their friendship had developed in to something more and Daniel asked Sophia if she would date him, but she was hesitant as she did not want to ruin their friendship. After some thought, she was willing to give it a try and they started dating in May 2020 and their relationship has only grown stronger since.

The two graduated together from Colorado State University together in 2022. Sophia graduated from CSU with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Daniel graduated with a bachelor's in Health and Exercise Science. After college, they decided they actually wanted to be more like the other and Daniel wanted to do business while Sophia wanted to go in to healthcare. As you can imagine, their parents were so happy about that choice lol! Since then, their paths have formed and Daniel has been thriving as an Account Manager for Hudu while Sophia is pursuing a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program which she will graduate from prior to the wedding and embark on her career as a Sonographer.

While their careers have evolved, one thing remains true; they accomplish their goals together and rely on one another. Outside of career paths, they enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, enjoying good food, attending hockey games (GO AVS), traveling, and attending church at Red Rocks. The important thing to them isn’t what they are doing, it is that they are together and living in the moment every day.

On June 28, 2024, Daniel proposed to Sophia on the pier in Saint Petersburg, Florida, and she said yes without hesitation. When they first met six years ago, they never imagined they would end up together, but now, they are excited to look ahead to their happily ever after.
