We met in 9th grade |
We were lucky to be in the same classes and even luckier to live quite literally behind one another. Throughout high school, we played field hockey together and on weekends we worked at the same deli too. Of course, we spent even more time together after work hanging out at the mall, park, or one of our houses. Basically inseparable and even now from Fort McMurry, Canada to White Plains, New York we still make time to talk to each other almost every day. My hiking, adventure, and EDM concert bestie who keeps me sane.
Sam Vassallo - Bridesmaid
We met in 6th grade | In sixth grade, we found out we both loved art, laughing at weird things, and band music - so naturally we became friends. We spent many days together from our awkward middle school stages to our post-college glow up days. We love finding fun arts and craft fairs and food fairs together. The best are the ones we randomly stumble upon. My artsy, foodie, bestie who keeps life fun and full of laughter.
Bailey Nunez - Bridesmaid
We met when we were 5 and 6 years old | Our friendship is all thanks to a friendly neighbor who suggested we would be great friends (and we only lived one street away). We begged to have a sleepover every weekend so we could finish our "little worlds" we would create from our toys, paper, crafts, and anything else we could find. We were (still are) the most creative little girls making crafts, art, and writing stories. We've known each other for so long that we're more like family. My creative sister who knows way too much!
Stephanie Loughran - Bridesmaid
We met in college 2013 | Stephanie and I were roommates during college at SUNY New Paltz. We lived in the hassel house together and still dream that one day we will buy it as a summer vacation home. I have the best college memories with Steph, staying up late at the art studio, grocery shopping on empty stomachs only to cook giant unnecessary meals afterwards, Zumba classes, college parties, movie nights, and late night drives. My funny partner in crime and cooking bestie who is always there and has my back. P.S. Stephanie was the first friend to meet Josh on date #3.
Gabby Miele - Bridesmaid
We met in 2016 at TLC daycare |
We taught preschool together and we still hope one day we will work together again. We lived our best lives as college graduates ready to take on the world. From brunches, to bars, concerts, and work out classes, we never had a boring weekend. Being the great planners we are, we always had a fun vacation coming up with lots to do! My dancing partner, and adventure bestie who’s always down for a fun time. P.S. Gabby is the one who got me back on Bumble where I met Josh.
Lilliana Jimenez - Jr. Bridesmaid
We met sometime shortly after Lilliana was born, I suppose | Lilliana is my younger cousin from my mom's side. So needless to say, we spend all the family holidays and parties together. I love all our camping trips and girl talks. Lilliana gives the best nail design advice and is always down to talk about curly girl hair routines. My chocolate-loving cousin who always keeps me up-to-date.
Groomsmen
Kevin Solomowitz - Best Man
Met: 1994, in the womb |
Superpower: Global history |
An identical twin who can give you a history lesson in any time period and can come close to beating Josh at a geography quiz. Kevin knows Josh inside and out, and serves as Josh's global travel partner, having been to the Serengeti, Galapagos, Israel, and across continental Europe, among other countries. At the wedding, Kevin will be the one making the toasts and avoiding the dance floor.
Marc Solomowitz - Groomsman
Met: 1994, after coming home from the hospital |
Superpower: Dad jokes |
Marc will make you cringe with a well-placed dad joke, but he's also one of the nicest guys you'll meet. He's the oldest brother and a serious dart competitor living out in Washington state. At the wedding, Marc will be taking shots and making friends with everyone he talks with.
Ken Connolly - Groomsman
Met: 2013, freshman year of college at the first dorm party |
Superpower: Sweet talking |
Ken and Josh have had many adventures together, stretching from studying abroad for a winter in China to Josh joining Ken for a week-long leg of the Appalachian trail. He's also Josh's go-to chess competitor and we've been told we should have our own sitcom show. At the wedding, Ken will be storytelling and thinking he has the best moves on the dance floor.
Taylor Mandrakos - Groomsman
Met: 2001, in 2nd grade |
Superpower: Trolling |
Taylor has been a close friend ever since the two were in the same second grade class. He's only two days younger than Josh and while he left the school district after 5th grade, the two have stayed in touch all these years (it didn't hurt he only lived down the street from Josh). Taylor joined Kevin and Josh on their cross-continental Europe journey, and experienced getting ripped off by pigeon folk and learned how to negotiate on the streets. At the wedding, you'll find Taylor egging people on to drink and dance.
James Kim - Groomsman
Met: 2002, summer camp |
Superpower: Perfect pitch |
Josh and James originally bonded over Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards as kids at summer camp, and while they didn't go to the same school, lived only a few minutes from each other. They toured Western Europe on an orchestra tour after high school and lived together on the Upper East side after college. At the wedding, James will know every song on the DJ's playlist and will be busting some sweet moves.
Ray Witherspoon - Groomsman
Met: 1999, in kindergarten |
Superpower: Marching with a sousaphone for 4 years |
Ray was the kindergarten class bully, but she and Josh found common ground and became closer friends over the years. Rapping together while driving to high school, annoying the French teacher, four years of marching band, and hanging out on the Huntington house deck are some top memories. Ray will be chilling and vibing at the wedding
Michael Salva - Groomsman
Met: 2020, at NYC Barcade |
Superpower: Late-night gaming |
Mike likes to lose the occasional video game competition and is Ozzie's close friend and ally. He's a guru when it comes to cars (being a mechanic helps) and Josh is constantly learning about which cars to stay away from. Mike will be fist pumping and telling hilarious jokes at the wedding.
Jason Salva - Groomsman
Met: 2020, at NYC Barcade |
Superpower: Throwing baseballs |
Like Josh, Jason is also a twin (Mike and him are fraternal). He loves playing video games like Halo and Spiderman and excelled as a baseball pitcher in college. At the wedding, you'll find Jason on the dancefloor and calling for more shots.
Ring Bearer & Security
Jasper Dutertre - Ring Bearer
Jasper is the son of Stacey's best friend and maid of honor Maomi. He will be two years old during the wedding and has the important role of bringing the rings down the aisle. This cutie is super happy around friends and family, loves dancing and dinosaurs. Hopefully we will all see his awesome dance moves earlier in the day as he will not be joining us for the reception (so mom and dad can have a turn to dance).
Alex Jimenez Jr. - Ring Security
Alex is Stacey's cousin and the brother of Jr. bridesmaid Lilliana. He has the coolest role at the wedding as ring security. Josh and Stacey entrust the safety and whereabouts of their rings to Alex. He will be in charge of escorting the young ring bearer and rings down the aisle. Alex loves music, Minecraft, football and baseball. If your lucky you'll see some of his dance moves at the wedding but you won't miss his smile.
