What is the dress code?
We have two! The wedding is semi-formal: no jeans, no t-shirts, no flip flops. But bring a change of clothes because the reception is comfy casual! That means costumes, onesies, pajamas, shorts, or whatever other fun and comfortable clothing you want to party in! (Please keep it appropriate).
Can I bring my [partner / children / friend]?
All are welcome! If you know someone who would love to celebrate with us, please encourage them to join. Just add them to the list when you RSVP so we know they're coming with you!
Should I bring a gift?
We are not requesting gifts. Weddings are expensive enough; we ask only for your love, prayers, and support. See the registry tab for more details.
What are the wedding colors?
Seafoam blue/green.
Counter question: do people ask this question so they can match the wedding party or avoid matching?? We invite you to wear whatever color you already have in your closet so you don't have to spend more money!
Can I bring my camera to take photos of the wedding ceremony?
Please don't. This is an unplugged wedding. We ask that cell phones and cameras be turned completely off for the entirety of the mass, including and especially the walk down the aisle. Our focus is on God and each other, and we hope yours will be, too! (Pictures are welcome at the reception.)
Do I have to attend both the mass and the reception?
Of course not. While we hope for the blessing of our loved ones surrounding and supporting us as we commit our lives to each other before God, we recognize that not everyone shares our faith, and we bear no ill will towards anyone who would prefer to simply join us afterwards at the reception hall. Love matters most and we appreciate your support, however it is shown!
Will there be transportation provided?
Yes! We will have shuttles running between the two hotels and the church both before the ceremony and after the reception. The shuttles leave from the Days Inn at 1:05pm and 1:15pm. They leave from the Best Western at 1:30pm and 1:40pm. There is also plenty of parking for those who choose to drive themselves. Please drink responsibly!
What should I expect at the ceremony?
See our Catholic Mass tab for more information on our wedding and what you can expect! Please reach out to Steph or Tim with follow up questions. We'd love to chat about our faith!
What should I expect at the reception?
The reception reflects the hearts of both bride and groom. We love our friends and family, and don't want anything to stand in the way of having an absolute blast! Comfy clothes, simple food, no gifts, and good music are all a part of that. Oh, and of course, the open bar. Don't expect many modern wedding practices (tossing the bouquet, cutting the cake, greeting each and every table instead of eating dinner)... We just want to enjoy our own party with all of you!! Expect to have a good time with good people.
What if I don't like pizza?
In truth, the bride and groom are divided on this very topic, so there will be side dishes as well (salads and various pastas). But feel free to bring your own meal if you're concerned about dietary restrictions or being hangry.
Will there be an afterparty?
We recognize that our reception ends at 8pm and we are friends with/ related to a bunch of party animals! So, yes, we will continue the fun with an "unofficial" afterparty in the lobby of the Best Western hotel. We'll grab the leftover food and drinks from the reception to continue our conversations where people can drift off to bed when they're ready. Please note: if you are not staying at the BW, you are responsible for getting yourself back home. Please drink responsibly!
