This is where our wedding will take place! There is limited availability at the Inn at Bay Harbor for our wedding weekend, both within and outside of our wedding block, so reserve as quick as you can if you'd like to stay here!
We have a small block of rooms reserved, with only suites left. Use the website link below or call 1-800-GO-BOYNE and mention the Walker-Hatch wedding to reserve. There is a 2-night minimum within our block. Our room block expires after April 20, 2025.
If you would like to reserve another room type, or you do not see any rooms available at the link, please call the reservations number (1-800-GO-BOYNE) to reserve and see if they'll add you to the Walker-Hatch room block as a courtesy. There may be a 3-night minimum for stays outside our block.
This lakefront resort features an outdoor pool and hot tub, fire pit with s'mores, an expansive lakefront lawn with games and hammocks, and e-bike rentals. There are several on-site dining options, a lobby café and gift shop, fitness center, and spa. See more under "Things to Do".
Village Suites Bay Harbor
This all-suite hotel is situated among the shops and restaurants in the village of Bay Harbor. Guests can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi, fitness center, bike rentals, and access to Sunset Beach with fire pit and volleyball court.
There is no block of rooms at this hotel, but it's a great option within walking distance of our wedding venue!

Airports
Cherry Capital Airport (TVC)
TVC is a small airport serviced by Allegiant, American, Avelo, Delta, Sun Country, and United Airlines, offering nonstop flights to 20 major cities.
Rental cars from five major companies are available at the airport. See "ground transportation" on the airport website for local shuttle and taxi options. All options should be arranged in advance of arrival.

Pellston Regional Airport (PLN)
If you'd like to land as close as possible to the wedding location (and don't mind small planes), the Pellston airport offers daily flights to and from Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) on Sky West Airlines.
Rental cars are available on-site through Budget and Avis. See "ground transportation" on the airport website for local shuttle and taxi options. All options should be arranged in advance of arrival.

Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR)
The airport in Grand Rapids is larger with more non-stop flights, and may be less expensive to fly into. Please keep in mind it's a little over a 3-hour drive from our wedding location.

Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW)
If you can't get a non-stop flight to Traverse City, you'll likely need a connection at the Detroit airport. Flights are available from DTW to both the Traverse City and Pellston airports. If you choose to drive from Detroit, please keep in mind it's at least a 4-hour drive.

Getting Around
Rental Cars
If you are flying in from out of town and plan to stay in the area longer to explore Northern Michigan outside of the wedding, you can rent a car at the Traverse City (TVC) airport from Hertz, Enterprise, Avis, Budget, or National Car Rental. Pellston airport (PLN) offers rental cars from Budget and Avis. These are best arranged in advance to ensure availability. While rental car companies are located within the airports, their service desks may not be open 24/7.
Uber & Lyft
Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are not reliable in this area. While there may be a driver or two, there is no guarantee they will be available on short notice. Your best bet is to arrange a taxi or car service for a scheduled time in advance.
Taxi & Car Service
If you choose not to rent a car, there are a number of small companies offering "taxi" and car service in the Petoskey area. Keep in mind there are no taxis looping around town. You must schedule a ride in advance, and rates are often higher than typical cab fare. Please see "ground transportation" on the airport websites for local options.
Sunset Premier Shuttle will be providing transportation for our wedding and is also a reliable option for car service from the Pellston and Traverse City airports.
