Our Wedding

Stephanie and I met through Match.com in September 2019. After our first date, I knew that there was something different about her from the start. She was sweet, down to earth, intelligent, and had a passion for adventure. Stephanie and I have had many adventures! These adventures have ranged from cooking classes, to hiking the many trails in Rocky Mountain National Park, to traveling across the country together. Stephanie is the first person that I want to talk to in the morning and the last person I want to talk to in the evening. She is the person who I want to share about my day and any news that has popped up. I’m not sure what adventures life has in store for us in our future, but I know that a life with Stephanie will be worthwhile and meaningful.&nbsp;

How We Matched

There isn't a day so far in my life that is more special to me than May 14th, 2021 when Ben asked me to spend the rest of our lives together. We went for a morning walk to one of my favorite spots in Grand Lake Colorado called Point Park. It's a beautiful park with a paved path that leads to the waters edge. In just a short distance a dock can be found nestled around some trees. As you walk out onto the dock you're able to overlook Grand Lake itself. Surrounded by picturesque skies and mountains on either side. If you look straight ahead you can see Mount Baldy in all its glory.&nbsp;It was in this spot, with no one else around that Ben held me in his arms and with an ease in his breath he shared with me all that was on his heart. It's a precious moment in time, locked in his arms, that I'll remember so vividly forever. From there, and in true proposal fashion, Ben got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! With happy tears in my eyes, and a giddy bounce, I screamed, warned him not to drop the ring in the water, and saidYES!

Molly and I met in college in 2013. We stayed close friends throughout nursing school, worked in the same unit as CNA's in Illinois, and now work together in the NICU at the Children's Hospital Colorado as RN's. Molly is an amazing friend, someone I can go to with anything and know she'll listen with an open heart and mind. I am beyond thrilled to have her as my Maid of Honor. And, Molly is a two for one friend as she has an adorable pup with a winning personality named Jeri!

Lili and I met in college in 2013 and she has been my best friend since. I admire so much about Lili, and have always felt her support in my life through so many things. She's a special friend to me, and I am beyond honored to have her standing with me as my Bridesmaid. Lili currently lives back in Illinois and works in the beauty industry. She's great at what she does! She comes to Colorado to visit as much as she can and hopes to move out here soon. So if you meet her feel free to give her that little extra nudge to make the move ;)

Tiffany and I met on Bumble BFF in 2018. We immediately bonded as friends and always have a great time hanging out together when she visits. Little does she know but her friendship held me up through difficult times and her friendship brings me so much joy. She is a wonderful person all around and I'm blessed to have her with me as my Bridesmaid.  She is from Minnesota but lived in Colorado for a couple of years. Since meeting, our friendship has always stayed strong! Tiffany is on her journey to becoming an RN.

Autumn and I met in college in 2013. One day at the start of the semester as neighbors in the dorms, I had invited her to come check out a new ginormous bean bag chair I had just gotten. Without any hesitation she came over plopped in the bean bag and we were besties ever since! She is an amazing labor and delivery nurse in Illinois. Autumn's presence in our wedding as my Bridesmaid will be cherished forever. Her and her fiancé just had a beautiful baby boy, who I am eager to meet!

I first met Loren when I was a sophomore in high school when he was dating my sister Megan. I also really got to know Loren when I attended Colorado School of Mines as a freshman, while he and Megan were seniors. We’ve had memorable experiences over the past 16 years. Loren has not only been a great dad to Lily and Matt, but he’s also been a wonderful brother-in-law. He is someone that I feel I can go to with anything and he will be a great sounding board, provide good advice, and bring a unique perspective. Loren is the brother that I never had and I’m thankful that he will be the best man in our wedding!

I have known CB since I was 10 years old as member of his swim team, the Aquanauts. CB and I have remained close friends throughout my entire life. My parents also got to know his parents well since they lived across the street from one another. CB has been a second father figure, always willing to give me advice and provide great support and encouragement. I’m forever grateful that CB is making the trip down from Alaska. I’m excited that CB will be a groomsman in our wedding!

I have known Trip for four years while we were coworkers at West Grand High School. We both share a passion for baseball, sports, and dad jokes. He’s the master of dad jokes and I have been his apprentice in training. I’m thankful for the friendship I’ve developed with Trip as he is a supportive friend who has challenged me to be a better educator and a better person. I’m grateful that Trip will be a groomsman in our wedding!

What to do?

If you are looking to take a hike or two while visiting here, we would like to recommend using the app called "All Trails". It gives you details about trails, levels of intensity, elevation gain, and directions. But, also feel free to reach out to us for any suggestions or questions.

This a park that has good hiking trails. They are good for easy to moderate levels.

The Red Rocks Amphitheatre its self is usually accessible to see early in the day as long as there are no performances scheduled. There's a lot of stairs but worth the view/experience! But the Red Rock area is surrounded by trails and we recommend the "Red Rocks Trading Post Trail" for this we suggest parking at the Red Rocks Trading Post on Trading Post Road.

If you are not up for a hike then we highly recommend this scenic drive that starts in the sweet historic town of Georgetown Colorado. You can find signs around town directing you to the start of the pass. In September you are sure to see the beautiful glowing golden aspens.

Then of course there is the area of our wedding venue. Evergreen is great place to visit, walk the town, or even take a stroll around the Evergreen Lake.
