Flights
Flying is the most expensive way to Quebec City, QC, but it is also the fastest. Most routes to Quebec are through Air Canada, however there are sometimes connecting routes that use Porter. If you are interested in flying part of the way there for cheaper, we have flown before into Montreal, QC instead and then taken a local Orleans Express bus from Montreal to Quebec City to save money. (make sure to input starting point as Montreal Airport Trudeau and arrival in Québec Centre-Ville).
Bus
If choosing to use only buses to get to Quebec, this can be achieved using two companies. The first part of your route would be using Greyhound (an American favorite) to get to Montreal. From the same bus station in Montreal, you would then board an Orleans Express bus to Quebec City that will take you the rest of the way. Driving
Driving can be a very scenic option in the fall, but be mindful of making sure that whatever hotel you choose can accommodate parking. If driving from the direction of Boston, Andrea recommends taking a drive on rt 91 to see spectacular views of the White Mountains in the Fall.
Uber
Yes, Canada also has Uber and you do not need to download a different app to use it. Please be mindful that any prices shown for the drive will be shown to you in the local currency (CAD) and not in USD.
Public Transportation
Quebec City offers a modest but efficient network of busses. Most bus lines come around often (every 10-15 minutes) and support a vast area (all of the city and most of the suburban areas). You can also use their mobile apps to look at schedules (RTC Nomade) and pay for virtual tickets (RTC Paiement).
Car rental
There are many options for car rental, including one right as you arrive at the Quebec City airport (Aéroport Jean-Lesage).
While you are free to stay where you choose, we have highlighted some potential hotel options for you to look into. These are only suggestions to help you in your search. There are many more available.

This is one of our personal favorites; it is a walkable distance from the old-town and easy to get to. The rooms are comfortable and prices are typically reasonable.
We stayed at this hotel once before and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The price point is reasonable and works best for smaller parties, as the smaller rooms have the better deals. The hotel is very well located for touring the city during the rest of the weekend. However, ordering an Uber from the hotel to the venue is recommended for the actual Wedding Day.
This hotel is renowned for its rotating restaurant on the top floor, offering a splendid view of the city. The hotel has been renovated within the last few years and has good reputation. It is also very well located.
* THIS HOTEL REQUIRES A CAR*
This hotel is a very good alternative on the other side of the St-Lawrence river. It is fairly well-located, but will require driving to get to the venues or Quebec City as public transportation is limited in that general area.
*CAR RECOMMENDED*
This is a well-established hotel on a central boulevard of Quebec City. Although there are decent public transport options to get you to the venue, we do recommend you rent a car or choose to Uber if you stay at this hotel.
