How should I get to the venue?

We will have buses pick up guests from the Holiday Inn Timonium hotel and various group rentals. Please refer to the Travel page for more details. Alternatively, you can take a rideshare (Uber or Lyft) to drop you off at the venue. You can drive and park at the venue. There are 65 parking spots, which is enough for everyone. Unfortunately for our public-transit-loving friends, it is pretty difficult to use public transit to get directly to the venue.

How should I depart the venue?

We will have buses taking guests back to the Holiday Inn Timonium hotel and various group rentals. If you drove and parked, please note that you should not plan to leave your car overnight. Also, it may be extremely difficult to get an Uber/Lyft out of the venue at night, since the location is suburban.

Can I leave a car overnight?

If absolutely necessary, cars can be left overnight, but is subject to a $300 fee and must be picked up before the start of the next event at the venue. Please coordinate with Cloisters' staff to schedule a 2-hour time block for pickup.

Can I bring my children to the wedding?

We would like to keep our wedding an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding.

Do I need to bring my ID or money for alcohol?

There will be an open bar serviced by our caterer. You do not need to bring money to purchase alcohol. Per the venue and caterer, if the guest is not clearly older than 21, they must provide identification.

Is smoking allowed?

The Cloisters is a historic site owned by Baltimore City. There is no smoking allowed inside the building. Outdoors, smoking is allowed only under the portico to the east of the main entrance.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Please let us know your restrictions in the RSVP questionnaire. Our caterer will provide a separate plate for you.

Can I take a bath in the Cloisters Castle?

No. None of the many tubs are available for bathing. Please do not.

Can I drink the tap water at the Cloisters?

No. It's well water. We'll have other water for you to drink.
