Taylor and Kendall met when Taylor started at the Johnson County District Attorney's Office in January of 2023.

The two quickly were talking for hours a day about everything. Kendall made some bets with Taylor he figured he'd lose, in hopes that it would mean more time to talk to her. He did lose those bets.

After a friends from work outing at a dive bar in KCK called Chicago's, Kendall told Taylor he really liked her. Taylor told him she liked him too, but she said she had a "work rule" where she didn't want to date a co-worker. Taylor changed her mind after the pair kept talking endlessly in the office.

Kendall and Taylor went on their first date to Capital Grille in March and took their first trip together to see Taylor Swift in Nashville. During the rain show, the two watched Taylor's favorite artist sing until well past one in the morning.

Following Kendall's best man speech over Memorial Day in Washington D.C., Taylor told Kendall she loved him. Kendall obviously did as well, and he considers that night--given what Taylor told him--to be the second best day of his life.

Over the next several months, the duo continued in their journey. The pair played mixed doubles together and watched each other's favorite teams play basketball. Kendall introduced Taylor to more movies, and Taylor introduced Kendall to the idea that he could stop wearing a Raising Cane's Hawaiian shirt.

On December 16, Kendall told Taylor he needed a ride to the airport because he'd been a late sub to call a Baylor basketball game on the radio in Detroit. Taylor drove him to the airport, but Kendall had his groomsmen, Josh and Aaron, pick him up from the airport. Kendall had a friend at the game text him a photo from inside the arena. Once Kendall sent it to Taylor, she fully believed Kendall was gone for the day.

Taylor's friend Mackenzie drove her to Loose Park, where Kendall waited with the ring. Taylor walked up to the bridge, and she said yes!

To prepare for the wedding, Taylor and Kendall went to Maui in February. Both considered not getting on a plane back, given the wonderful weather and how much they loved being together on the island. Taylor had to handle keeping Kendall alive while snorkeling.

Taylor and Kendall do nearly everything together. When one of them has an appointment or conference, they both get incredibly sad that they can't commute together. When one of them is sick and can't play mixed doubles, the other one is almost too sad to play with a sub.

Taylor did not believe in soul mates before she met Kendall. She now does. Kendall--while driving back from Ames, Iowa on New Year's Eve--predicted 2023 would not be his year. He's never been more wrong.

The couple can't wait to celebrate their wedding with their closest family and friends in Maui!
