A great beach for snorkeling if you want to snag a snorkel set at the Salt & Sand store at the resort and swim out! This beach is a 5-10 minute walk from the resort.
The resort hosts a luau every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights with check in at 4:40pm that lasts until around 7:30pm/8pm. We highly recommend booking a snorkel tour to Molokini and turtle town if you have time! Kai Kanani is a great company to book through if you did not rent a car and need to be picked up at the resort, they offer that service included in your ticket price. For my Woodside tennis girls or anyone looking to hit the ball around, you can reserve court time and rackets to play! Approximately 3 minutes from the resort.

The bride and her brothers learned how to surf not too far from the resort so if you're interested in learning, this was a great surfing school! Approximately 10 minutes from the resort and no equipment needed, they provide it all.
This is arguably the most famous restaurant on Maui. People used to line up hours before opening for their pies until they started their online order pick up. It's a cute place to eat brunch or lunch and leave with some delicious pies!

Maui’s favorite hometown restaurant nestled in the pineapple fields on the lower slopes of Haleakala. Stop by on your way up or down Haleakala or for food & an award-winning mai tai. It's approximately 35 minutes from the resort.
Haleakala Crater, the peak of the East Maui volcano, rises 10,023 feet above sea level. Haleakala is known for its stunning sunrise views! It's best to plan an entire day to explore the world's largest dormant volcano. From the resort, it takes approximately 3 hours to drive to the summit. Be careful, the roads are winding towards the top and the temperature drops quite a bit as you gain elevation.
If you're feeling like exploring the Upcountry of Maui, drive on over to this beautiful lavender farm. If you're driving up the Haleakala summit, they're located at the 4,000 ft elevation level.
The best beach to see turtles napping on the shore but be careful, it's extremely windy so it's also a great beach to watch for surfing and windsurfing. It's approximately 40 minutes from the resort.

In all seriousness, this is a must-see! Tickets are not required to enter, visit the museums, walk the grounds, or watch the park film but this is a VERY popular tourist attraction so arrive early to avoid lines.

This is hands-down the best place to snorkel and see diverse fish and underwater creatures. Even if you aren't keen on snorkeling, you need to experience this! The water is so clear you can see right to the bottom and it's pretty shallow that you don't need to be a good swimmer to experience it! Hanauma Bay is harder to get into than the Hawk at homecoming so click the link and read the below instructions carefully.
You can either (1) reserve an entry time 48 hours in advance at the link below or (2) arrive at the crack of dawn (6:45am) and purchase a walk-in ticket that's only one/person and only valid for that day.
You can drive up and park at the base of the crater and hike up the rest of it. It is entirely paved and a fairly easy hike for all levels. This is the best view of Honolulu/Waikiki area and the entire island so don't miss it! They also have little food stands at the base for fresh fruit and juice as a reward for your hike.
Waikiki gives a Miami vibe to Hawaii but picture a prettier beach with high rise hotels, restaurants, and high-end stores like Louis Vuitton with Diamond Head in the background. This beach is very touristy but for a reason. If you're looking for the best area to stay while on Oahu, Waikiki is it! Waikiki is only 30 minutes from Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, & Hanauma Bay with lots of hotel options on the water!
If you can't already tell, Hawaii is known for their shave ice and this is the oldest and most historic! There is always a line so make sure you plan accordingly. Grab some have ice while you walk around the shops at Haleiwa or head to the beach.
The cutest little surf town on your way to the North Shore that has tons of local galleries, surf shops, coffee shops, and shave ice!
The waves here are calm even in the winter months, making it a great spot to boogie board or learn to surf.
A great place to spend the day and watch surfers! This beach is close to Banzai Pipeline which is a world-famous surf spot known for its surfing competitions and massive waves. Do not attempt to surf at Banzai Pipeline, I repeat do not attempt, many people have died or been seriously injured at Pipeline.
If you think Shave Ice is the only delicacy Hawaiians do best, think again! Taylor's favorite coffee in the world is Kona Extra Fancy. Order it, you will not be let down but be prepared, you will start an expensive addiction.
Have you ever wondered what a pineapple plantation looks like? Wonder no more once you visit! Taylor and her brother ran through these pineapple mazes as kids but don't forget to treat yourself to a Dole whip truly from the source.
Have you ever seen a beach with black sand? Because of constant volcanic activity, you'll find white sands and black sands on the island of Hawaii. The black sand was created due to lava from the Kilauea Volcano.
There is so much to see and do at this Park you'll want to spend several hours here! You can hike or drive the rim of the crater and also go to the top and explore the visitor's center. Did you know this Park is located on Kīlauea and Mauna Loa, two of the world’s most active volcanoes. Yes, you can see lava in the cracks of the volcano on the guided hikes/tours so you don't want to miss it. Make sure you have shoes you can run in though, the last eruption was on September 10, 2023.
