Daniel and Tilly first met on her first evening in Wisconsin having just moved all the way from Texas, at dinner with a recent friend of Daniel and a life-long friend of Tilly.

The two instantly hit it off and became immediate friends, finding any excuse to spend as much time together as possible. For months they met every weekend (and several weekdays) together, usually with a group of friends, but focused more on each other.

On Valentine's Day of 2019, Daniel and Tilly had planned to get dinner together with several other friends, but they were the only ones who showed up. After dinner, unable to keep up the facade, Daniel ended the night by saying what a great time he had on their "date," to which Tilly agreed enthusiastically.

After a few wonderful years of many more dates, wonderous travels, several bad photos, countless adventures, and endless laughter, Daniel was ready to pop the question.

Three days after Christmas of 2024, Daniel and Tilly had gone to a lovely garden downtown alone after spending time with her family. After oh-so-subtly finding the perfect spot, Daniel had asked Tilly to turn around to find him looking up at her on one knee.

After saying yes and holding back tears, they left the garden to find their loved ones, including Tilly's mom and two sisters who had inconspicuously helped her with the perfect outfit and nails just days before, as well as the very excited family and friends awaiting them outside (and on video) to congratulate them.
