Yes. If this is the worst thing that goes wrong, we’ll count it as a win!

Roosevelt Island, while part of the borough of Manhattan, is an island in the East River between Manhattan and Queens that was once the site of NYC's prisons and hospitals (including a smallpox hospital whose ruins are still standing), and feels worlds apart from the rest of the city. Note that the only bridge onto Roosevelt Island is from Queens. The island is accessible from Manhattan by subway (F line) or the tram from 59th St. and 2nd Ave.

Unfortunately, due to capacity limitations at the venue - and remarkable fertility in both our families (55 kids!) - this wedding is adults only. We would be happy to help you find a babysitter in New York should you need one.

We are looking into shuttles to and from the wedding venue, and will update with details as the date approaches. The welcome event at Dutch Fred's is very close to several subway lines. If you need assistance navigating there, please reach out.
