Tim Malone & Will Conway are getting married!
A few hotel options are below, with options in midtown Manhattan (a bit pricier, but closer to welcome drinks, and easier access to some of the classic NYC tourist sites), and Long Island City, Queens (a bit cheaper, closer to the wedding venue, and easy access to Manhattan via several subway lines).
We have no minimum requirements for the blocks at any of these hotels so please feel free to stay elsewhere if it better fits your needs. However, please note that Airbnbs/short term rentals are banned in NYC (unless the owner is present while you are there), so be very careful about booking one.
If booking by phone, call between 8am and 4pm and ask to speak to in-house reservation team. Reference "Tim & Will's Wedding" for block rate. Must book by 9/3 for group rate.
The block code will provide a 10% discount off the best flexible rate at time of booking.
Book through link or call 1-800-228-9290 and mention the Malone & Conway wedding block. Must be booked by 8/15 for group rate.
Must book by 9/3 for group rate.
Traffic in New York can be terrible, and gridlock on Friday evening or Saturday afternoon/evening would not be unexpected. We recommend you travel by public transportation if feasible, and recommend against renting a car if you fly in. If you do plan to drive, please build in some extra time.
For getting around NYC, the subways and buses are easy to use, Google Maps or City Mapper will tell you what routes to take, and you can just tap to pay, no metrocard needed. However, do check the MTA website ( https://new.mta.info/ ) or app (iphone: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mymta/id1297605670 android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=info.mta.mymta&hl=en_US&gl=US ) for service changes, as trains are sometimes rerouted on weekends. Ubers, Lyfts, and Taxis are an option too. If you need any help on directions around the city or from the airports (LGA, JFK, or EWR all work), please reach out and we'd be happy to help.
If everything is running normally, you can get to the Sanctuary (wedding venue) via the F subway line (Roosevelt Island stop) or the tram from 59th St and 2nd Ave in Manhattan, and take the (free) Red Bus northbound to its final stop at the Octagon. The Sanctuary is a very short walk from there.
We intend to offer some day-of shuttles of our own to and from the Sanctuary. Details on those to follow.
