As Tom always says “we met the old fashioned way - online”. However the part that makes it special is that we met two days after I joined Zoosk and just before he had planned to end his membership. When I read his profile there was something very authentic that shined through. The connection, trust, ease of conversation, it all came so naturally. Tom’s wit, humor, work ethic, and love of his family all were apparent instantly. Within a week and a half I had invited him to a very prominent board dinner (in my 20 years attending this event I had intentionally NEVER brought a +1). But with Tom it was different because I knew not only would I be proud to have him by my side but I also knew he would be in my life for years to come. I just knew.
Learning how close Tom was with his family, and in-laws, said something loud and clear about his character. I have been blessed to have felt seamlessly woven into all aspects of his life, and he in mine. My family also knew right away Tom was a keeper!
As we wed I am proud to have one of his sisters-in-law by my side to symbolize the joining of our three families and to thank all for making me feel loved and welcomed.
What is so special about our relationship? It is how well we collaborate. We enjoy camping and travel but we are just as fulfilled at home doing projects together. Even when words aren’t spoken we are striving for the same end goals. We just fit.
I feel so blessed to finally experience what my folks have had - a true lasting partnership. I am not someone who likes to ask for help and I’ve had to do things on my own for many years, but having Tom by my side is natural. He is the piece of my puzzle that has been missing all these years.
As we wed, in the same place he proposed, I am grateful to blend our families. I thank his children for embracing me and I thank my children for seeing how happy Tom makes me & welcoming him in our lives.
The best is yet to come!
I could barely imagine love would find me again so unexpectedly. Yet, in 2023, Lisa entered my life like a ray of sunlight. Our connection was instant. We quickly blossomed into a deep bond, built on shared laughter, conversations, goals, and an unspoken understanding that we were meant to walk this path together.
Lisa’s kindness, wit, and unwavering support rekindled a joy I was yearning to regain after loss.
We were soon inseparable, even with distance, dreaming of a future filled with love and adventure.
From the moment I introduced Lisa to my family, they embraced her with open hearts. My children saw her radiant spirit and welcomed her warmth. Her wonderful children have warmly accepted me.
My extended family, too, is captivated by her genuine care and vibrant energy, often remarking how she so easily fit perfectly into our lives. Family gatherings became brighter with Lisa’s presence, her laughter mingling with ours as if she’d always been part of our story. Their love and acceptance have been a gift, affirming that our union is not just ours but a shared joy. As we prepare to say “I do” on July 6, 2026, we’re surrounded by a family that cherishes together as their own, ready to celebrate the beautiful chapter we’re writing together.
