Our Wedding

We are the true example of "if it's meant to be, it will be".We matched on hinge back in March of 2023, but it took us until August of that same year to finally go on our first date. We had both reached out to each other on 3 separate occasions, conveniently while the other was taking a hiatus from dating apps. It wasn't until July 2023 that we finally got in touch and planned our first date!During our first date, Tim managed to spill 2 drinks on Vallon because he was so nervous, and Vallon decided to go back home to New York for 2 weeks directly after, so Tim thought he was never going to hear from her again.Fast forward two years later, we were living happily together, where Tim had taken on the role of "Cat Dad" to Charlotte. Tim had planned an anniversary date for the two of us to walk along the river trail to a nice dinner, where he ended up proposing at one of our favorite lookout spots.We are now so excited to be celebrating this love story with you all!

Kylie is Vallon's older sister. Vallon and Kylie were very competitive with each other growing up, but have always been partners in crime. Enjoying trips to visit each other when we have the time, and hour long phone calls every week on the way home from work, we never miss the chance to catch up and support each other.

Kylie now lives in Salem, New Hampshire with her husband, Aaron, and two dogs Maggie (standard poodle), and Millie (berniedoodle). She also just started her own business (talk to her about your decorating needs)!

Vallon and Julia met on Facebook in 2016 when looking for freshman year roommates at Penn State, and have been inseparable ever since! Joining clubs, going out, and rarely missing a Penn State football game, where there was one of us, the other was never too far away. Now post graduation, Julia played a role in convincing Vallon to move to Pittsburgh, which eventually lead to Vallon meeting Tim!

Julia is currently living in the Pittsburgh area with her husband, Chris, and their dog Murphy (follow him on instagram: smallmurph).

Vallon and Natalie met shortly after Julia and Natalie were set up on a "blind friend date" by their parents. Since then, we have been three peas in a pod! Sharing many $5 movie Tuesdays, karaoke nights, coffee dates, and even adopting a cat (Tiny), we have always had the best time and the most laughs in whatever we do no matter how simple or extravagant. Natalie also played a large part in operation "get Vallon to move to Pittsburgh", which proved successful! Natalie is currently living in the Pittsburgh area with her boyfriend, Tanner Cook, their dog Lady and cat Tiny (follow him on instagram: insta.tinycat)

Jared is Tim’s older brother and a Navy doctor currently stationed in Japan, with plans to move to Naples, Italy this summer. He loves penguins, traveling, and spending time with his girlfriend Saige, who is currently in Naples on a Navy assignment. Jared has a special talent for getting under Tim’s skin—and he knows it. When he’s back in Pittsburgh, you’ll find the brothers at Devout Brewery sampling flights and pestering the bartender about when their Hefeweizen will finally be released.

Evan is Tim's younger brother and the proud father of Tim’s niece and goddaughter, Sophia. Evan, Sophia, and his wife Hailey recently moved to Bluffton, SC. A man of few words, when Evan speaks people listen. As the youngest of three boys, he was often teased by Tim and Jared—just their way of “toughening him up” for the real world. 

Evan Ingersoll

Tim and Ben met whenever Ben moved into the Heathergate community at the age of 5. The house that the Hanlon's moved into just so happened to be right next door to the Ingersoll's, and they have been friends ever since! Tim and Ben have recently started a baseball team together, known as the Pittsburgh Pierogies. They belong to a mens wooden bat league, and the team won a whopping 4 games in the 2025 season. Ben currently lives in Turtle Creek and is the father of an adorable and energetic three-legged cat named Little Kitty.

Ben Hanlon

Tim and Ryan met in elementary school playing baseball and soccer together. In high school they teamed up for a project in AP Government and Politics—a video explaining the state of American politics and the two-party system that’s still on YouTube titled "Honk If You Love America" (Shoutout Tex for filming it). They roomed together at Penn State for three years. Ryan now lives in Greensburg with his wife Sam and their two boys, Mac and Lincoln.

Zach and Tim met when Zach moved to Pittsburgh from Texas and ended up in one of the same classes as Tim. After Zach mentioned he was from Texas, the nickname “Tex” stuck. They finished high school together and later became roommates at Penn State; you can usually find them hanging out and listening to Mac Miller. Tex now lives across the river from Vallon and Tim with his wife, Tianna, and runs his real estate photography business, Exposure It (sponsor for the Pittsburgh Pierogies).

This is where the bride and groom will be staying for the weekend, and it is the main wedding hotel block! This hotel is also where our farewell brunch will be taking place. It is less than a 5 minute walk to our venue from this hotel. The website link below is what needs to be used in order to get our room block rate! If the room block is full but you would like to stay here, please contact the bride or groom to see if we can add more rooms to our block.

The Strip District

If you're looking for Vallon &amp; Tim, you will most likely find them somewhere in the Strip! This is the area where Vallon &amp; Tim had their first date, and it's their favorite place to be out and about!

Location 1 of 2 of Vallon &amp; Tim's first date! We by accidentally got roped into trivia and came in last place :) Great spot for local beers and cocktails with an outdoor area that most likely has live music playing.

Helltown Brewing - Strip District

Location 2 of 2 of Vallon &amp; Tim's first date! Located in the terminal building, it is an indoor putt putt bar complete with great drinks and food!

Puttshack - Pittsburgh

The Senator John Heinz History Center — a fun, family-friendly museum covering Pittsburgh history, industry, and of course Heinz — perfect for a rainy afternoon or a nostalgic walk through the city’s past.

Vallon &amp; Tim's post-engagement dinner spot! This is a Spanish tapas-style restaurant and bar, we recommend the empanadas and croquetas (and a dirty martini to go with it)

Great spot for dinner right near our venue! We highly recommend the banana bread espresso martini!(reservations encouraged, they book up quick!)
