Colonial Beach is about 45 minutes East of Fredericksburg, on the Potomac River in the Northern Neck of Virginia. It is an hour and a half from both DC (Ronald Reagan National Airport) and Richmond, VA.

Yes, if you need accommodations in Colonial Beach, we recommend booking as soon as possible. Although we intentionally chose a non-festival weekend (there are many!), our little town is a small weekend destination spot. We were recently featured in a magazine as a great getaway spot. And same goes for a golf cart. Colonial Beach is a fun golf cart town! Golf cart parking at the wedding venue is a bit easier as well. Golf carts sell out, so get one now if you want one.

Well, does anyone "need" one? No. But you will have more fun buzzing around this golf cart town if you have one! Just book early if you want one, they do sell out many if not most weekends!
