What should I wear?
The attire is springtime cocktail. That just means cocktail attire in bright, springtime colors and patterns. Ladies, knee-length and midi dresses or dressy separates are great! Men, khakis and a sports coat or a suit and tie should fit the bill.
Please don't wear jeans and try to steer away from fall and wintery colors if you can!
Can I bring a plus-one?
Due to limited space in our venue and the desire to celebrate with our closest friends and family, we ask that only those that are named on your invitation attend. Thank you for understanding!
Can I bring my kids?
Once again, due to limited space in the reception venue, please only bring your children if they are named on the invitation. We apologize if there is any inconvenience, but we hope you and your spouse are able to make a fun, relaxing date night out of our wedding day!
Where should I park?
For the ceremony, there is ample parking in the church parking lot.
For the reception, there is paid parking around downtown Macon. Parking is free starting at 8pm, so the cost would be no more than $3. If you choose this option, parking along Poplar Street would be best. There is also a free parking lot located at 740 Mulberry Street across from First Presbyterian Church. This is a 5 minute walk from The Overlook, but it is not reserved for our event, so it could fill up.
Will there be alcohol at the wedding?
We have decided not to serve alcohol at the wedding, but there are number of great spots close by to the reception should you choose to continue celebrating after our exit! We enjoy Longleaf Distillery, Fall Line, and Hightales at Hotel Forty Five.
