Macon is a historic, homey, and joy-filled city. We are so grateful to have both fallen in love with this city throughout college and as we fell in love with each other. We hope you are able to explore while you are here! Check out a few of our favorite spots.
Activities
Museum of Arts and Sciences
One of Maegan's favorite places in Macon and where she worked in college. The museum is great for kids complete with a Mini-Zoo, Discovery house, and planetarium. And make sure to take a walk out on the nature trail to see her work!
Amerson River Park
A great place to picnic or just walk around! Our first date actually ended by taking a lap here.
Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park
Outdoorsy and historical and free... what more could you want in an afternoon activity??
The Shoppes at River Crossing
Outdoor mall with lots of shopping and eating options!
Restaurants
Macon Bagels
A great spot for breakfast Saturday or Sunday morning (or Wednesday, like our first date here!)
Rookery
Macon has lots of great burger places, this is one of our favorites! The Jimmy Carter burger comes with peanut butter if you're feeling adventurous!
Piedmont Brewery and Kitchen
Great trashcan fries and wings!

A Macon classic and one of our Sunday, after-church go-tos. Asian, Mexican fusion!
