The Welcome Party is a pre-wedding event for us to greet our out-of-town guests and to allow them to mingle and get to know each other in a casual setting before the main event. It will take place the evening prior to the wedding; food and drink will be provided. Like the wedding, guests should RSVP for this event.

Tanque Verde Ranch is as far east down Speedway Blvd. you can go. Ride-share or shuttle services may be available. Driving or carpooling is advised.

For guests looking to drive themselves, there is plenty of free on-site parking.

Both. The Barn venue at Tanque Verde Ranch is indoor-outdoor. The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. Dinner will be served indoors, and we invite guests to flow in and out the rest of the evening.

We ask that you dress semi-formally for the occasion and wear cocktail attire. This could look like slacks and a button down for men and a nice dress or pantsuit for women. We also ask that you avoid white and denim fabric.

We are leaving it up to you since everyone has their own preference on hotel brands. For reference, the venue is on the east side of town. A few hotels close by are the Hilton Tucson East (7600 E Broadway Blvd), Embassy Suites (6555 E Speedway Blvd), and the Sheraton (5151 E Grant Rd). See Travel page.

Tucson International Airport (TUS) is the most convenient airport to fly in and out of; however, depending on where you may be flying in from, Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) may have more convenient times or budget friendly options. For reference, the drive from Phoenix to Tucson is about two hours.

Tucson weather in early October is transitioning back to pleasantly warm and slightly breezy with the evenings cooling off. Monsoon season should be over, and the summer heat should be behind us. Google says high of 85F and low of 58F.

Guests awarded a plus one will see the option to include one when RSVP-ing.

We love your children, but guests under the age of 18 are asked to stay at home. Special circumstances will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

We are planning on serving a "cowboy cookout" style buffet including, but not limited to, steak, chicken, salad, corn, etc.

There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout the cocktail hour and for some of the reception. We recommend guests bring cash or a credit card along as drinks may not be free all evening.
