The Guys
Jake Musser - Groomsman
It feels like I have known Jake my whole life; he is one of my oldest acquaintances. My parents introduced us shortly after my birth and he's been like a brother to me ever since.
Cameron Kroonenberg - Groomsman
I met Cameron at the Kansas City airport when my mom struck up a conversation with a random stranger - who happened to be Cameron's mother. It came up that Cameron was also on his way to KU for freshman orientation. We ended up in the same calculus class freshman year, hit it off right away, and we've been friends ever since.
Matt Griebe - Groomsman
Matt and I met at KU freshman year during welcome week. It so happened that we lived in the same building on the same floor and were in the same major (unsurprisingly, since we both lived in the engineering dorms). We've been friends ever since, and the rest is history.
Griffin Beitter - Groomsman
Griffin took the unconventional route and dropped a business major for an aerospace engineering one (most people do the opposite). We met during my sophomore year when we were seated next to each other in structures. Our similar senses of humor bonded us through the remaining years of undergrad.
Garret Anderson - Best Man
Garret is my oldest and bestest friend - we met in elementary school while playing on the same lacrosse team. We share many interests and hobbies, and manage to pick up our friendship like no time has passed even though we have not lived in the same state for years.
The Gals
Kate Caggianelli - Bridesmaid
Kate is my oldest friend. We bonded over crappy tween romance books in middle school, so much so that we had a lively discussion about a failing relationship in front of our reading seminar class. We were inseparable to graduation, and the rest is history. Despite being separated by thousands of miles for the past several years, our friendship has persevered, and I could not imagine my wedding without her by my side.
Becky Kemper - Bridesmaid
Becky (a.k.a. BK) is one of my closest friends in Tucson. Not only is she the life of the party (if properly caffeinated), she is fiercely loyal and one of the kindest people you will ever meet. I know that she's always got my back on and off the frisbee field - she's the Bitch to my Hot Pants (IYKYK), and I wouldn't want it any other way.
Cally Zissman - Bridesmaid
Cally was one of my first friends in Tucson, and I chalk that up to her sweet nature, her killer frisbee game, and her amazing cooking skills. If you know me you know that I love food, and Cally (especially in pregnancy) has done an excellent job of keeping me and our friends well fed. She's an excellent friend and is going to make an even better mom.
Hana Musser - Bridesmaid
Hana is Zach's younger sister, and if you assumed that that is the only reason her name is listed here then you would be wrong. Not only is Hana brilliant and ruthless, she is also tender and thoughtful, and I am thrilled to call her my sister.
Allie Erdman - Maid of Honor
There is nobody else better suited to be my maid of honor than my big sister, Allie. While we aren't the best of friends, or the closest of sisters, what we have is special and strong, and I would not trade it for the world. She has filled many roles through the trials of wedding planning - my cheerleader, my party planner, my rock, and has gone above and beyond the call of duty. I cannot thank her enough. Love ya, sis.
