Our story began in 2020, during our senior year of high school. It was thanks to our grandparents, Mary Colvin and Kathy Carmichael, that we met. They set us up, and what started as a simple introduction quickly turned into something much more. (Best matchmakers ever!).

When it came time to choose colleges, we both decided to attend the University of Oklahoma, and we ended up majoring in Construction Science together. Throughout our time in college, we’ve supported each other through late-night study sessions, hands-on projects, and all the challenges and successes that come with being in the same field. It’s been amazing to have someone by my side who understands the struggles and triumphs of our studies, and we’ve grown together, both personally and professionally.

In November 2024, after four years of building our lives together, Owen proposed on Thanksgiving in Louisiana. Surrounded by family and the warmth of the holiday, it was the perfect moment to take the next step in our journey. Our relationship has been shaped by the love and guidance of our grandparents, and we’re excited to continue building a future together.

We’ve set our wedding date for April of 2026, marking the next chapter of our lives. This is just the beginning of what we hope will be a long and happy journey ahead, and we can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives building a future together.
