Attire: Whatever you feel most comfortable in! There will be a lot of waiting as your decoration dries.
Description: Our festivities continue with Henna Night! We invite our guests to get an Indian temporary tattoo designed by our professional henna artists. The intricate designs are thought to bring good luck, joy, and positivity into the couple’s new life together. Plus, they make you look super cool.
Henna night is traditionally a ladies' activity, so we will also have a low-key hangout with food and drinks that the men would generally attend. That being said, we welcome all genders to the mehendi.👐🏽🌿❦
It's custom, to hide the groom's initials in the bride's henna. Shubhro's got pretty tricky initials, but see if you can find them!

Attire: This is one of our most formal events. Women: you can go all out in colorful lehengas, sarees, shararas, or anarkalis, or even a stylish chic dress that lets you dance the night away! Men: embrace the celebration with a smart kurta-pajama or blazer and trousers for a sophisticated look.
Description: Our Sangeet is all about music and dance as we come together to celebrate the joyous occasion. Look forward to energetic Indian dances perfomenced by family and friends. Other than that, our DJ will be spinning a mix of traditional beats and modern tunes. So, put on your dancing shoes, enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, and let’s groove together as we celebrate love, family, and the beginning of a beautiful journey! 🌟🎤
Attire: Women: Yellow or orange sarees, anarkalis, or kurtis; Men: Yellow or orange colored kurta-pajamas, floral Nehru jackets, or simple cotton shirts
Description: Help us kick-off the celebration with a giant splash of yellow! The focus of this event is getting in touch our playful sides as we all take turns throwing and smearing turmeric over the bride and groom. We'll also all participate in a collection of teambuilding games like tug-of-war as we get messy with yellow paste.
This ancient Indian tradition comes from the idea of keeping the bride and groom healthy for their big celebration because turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties. If you ask us, having everyone in our wedding party touching our faces will probably outweigh the benefits of the turmeric, but we've got kick-ass immune systems, so bring it on! 💛🎶
