JULY 2019

Aria and Ted match on The League dating app (they know, they're fancy) and Aria hits Ted with the most creative opening line ever - "Hey Ted".

With an opener like that, Ted just had to know more about Aria, the wordsmith, so he responded accordingly - "Hey Aria" (there's more to that but he forgets the rest).

No more than a week later, Ted found himself in a bar, sipping a beer, by himself, because Aria was late for their first date.

Upon her arrival, Aria apologized profusely and explained that she was finishing a television show that they both happened to watch (Ted wasn't really listening because when he saw just how beautiful she was, he kind of froze). A reasonable excuse in Ted's book.

Unfortunately, the bar Ted had chosen had become too crowded so they went searching for another bar (all the while Ted was internally freaking out uncertain if they could find one that had the right atmosphere).

Fortunately they did find one, and despite being seating under a staircase (which Ted kept smacking his head on), they had what Ted viewed as a great first date.

To him, Aria seemed like an extremely interesting person - she was an actor, a Canadian (Ted made fun of his friend for dating a Canadian and this was karma running its course), but the most interesting thing she was, was a birthday party clown.

The conversation went on for around 4 hours and the date was wrapped up with a walk to the subway, a kiss, and a see you next time.

AUGUST 2019

A few more dates in, Aria and Ted are officially dating. After one month, Ted says "I love you" first.

Halloween 2019

A quick day trip to what Aria calls "upstate NY", which is usually followed by an audible groan from Ted, and a "it's Westchester, not upstate."

Ted visited Aria, in Florida, just after Christmas 2019, where he met her family (not the turtle) for the first time.

MARCH 2020

Aria gets a tip from a friend that NYC is going into lockdown in the next few days so Aria and Ted go up to Vermont, for what they thought would be a few weeks.

JUNE 2020

Aria and Ted return to NYC from Vermont. Just a little bit more than a few weeks' stay. That summer, because they don't know how safe the subways are, they spend the summer biking and running to each others apartments (180+ blocks away).

AUGUST 2020

Aria's lease ends and she moves in with Ted.

For their 1 year anniversary, Aria & Ted walked around lower Manhattan, grabbed some burgers, and passed by the bar where they had their first date.

DECEMEBER 2020

Aria and Ted move into a new apartment riddled with with problems like leaky pipes, an angry suicidal ghost (ask them about it at the wedding), etc.

FEBRUARY 2021

Aria and Ted adopt Mac & Cheese (cats) further cementing their relationship.

A quick trip to Nashville to celebrate their 2 year anniversay.

Ted and his love for play on words Halloween costumes decided to incorporate his American and Aria's Canadian nationalities, which resulted in Yeehawkey.

Will Aria laugh this much and will Ted dance this well at their wedding? Yeh, probably.

DECEMBER 2021

Aria informs Ted that she has to leave the country for a few months while her visa gets renewed.

MAY 2022

A few months later... Aria finally returns from Canada. That summer is spent going to multiple weddings and preparing for another move.

AUGUST 2022

Aria and Ted move (hopefully for the last time) into their current apartment where they've created a home together.

A quick trip to Boston for the 2023 marathon and a small tour of Ted's college "town".

Aria finally catches Ted's running bug and breaks 2 hours in her first half marathon!

JUNE 2023

After almost 4 years of dating, Ted finally proposes to Aria at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Aria is thrilled but knew it was coming because they picked out a ring earlier that year.
