Wedding Party

The Boys

Matt Klimkowski (Konyak) - Best Man
I met Klim freshman year of high school - almost 17 years ago. Hate is a strong word but I did not like Matt when I first met him. He had grown up in the private school system and seemed to know everyone - including the seniors because of his older brother (the Klimkowski's are the Rockafeller's of Santa Margarita Catholic High School). He was popular, larger than life, and knew chicks - I was insecure. Fast forward to volleyball season 2007 and we quickly became friends with mutual love of Alkaline Trio, dumb humor, and Dean Navarro. Never judge a book by it's cover they say. I still talk to Matt almost every day and he even texts Arielle to watch Twilight on almost a weekly basis. He is our third wheel, our baby angel, and my best friend.
Steve (Sossy) - Officiant & Groomsman
Steve (or The Steve) is my older brother and a big reason I am the way I am today. As cliche as is it is, when you're a kid you always look up to your older brother - and Steve was no exception. He exposed me to all the cool (very subjective) things i'm still into today like Super Nintendo, Weezer, Dragon Ball Z, and guitar. Most importantly he is a family man who puts others first - what better person to be the one to bring another Modry into the fold! (i'm speaking of Arielle not another child - unless you want to have more kids thats cool with me but you must ask Vanessa first).
Trevor Modry (TrevDog) - Groomsman
Trevor is my younger brother and the pinnacle of Modry genetics (brains and body). A financial consultant by day, and Necromage by night - Trevor and I spent a lot of our youth pwning and discussing the intricasies of video games. Being the closest in age to me, he and I definitely butted heads (he'll tell you about the time I have him a black eye for his 1st grade class photos) but as adults we're closer than ever. He is the little brother you look up to - a built in best friend.
Ales Modry (Jahhh) - Groomsman
Ales is my only cousin so I always considered him more a brother than anything else. Being only a year younger than myself (and a year older than Trevor) we spent a majority of our childhood collecting Pokemon & Dragon Ball Z cards, playing WOW (I gave up quickly - Ales not so much) and doing all around dumb boy shit. Now he is a plastic surgeon and lives in the Czech Republic! Oh how times change. So excited for you all to meet this elusive creature - please don't ask him for a boob job like Arielle did already.
Zach Wootton (Zengggg) - Groomsman
I met Zach sophomore year of high school - but we really became friends when we saw Incubus in 2007 after a girl I invited bailed on me last minute to see Justin Bieber (i'm over it, I swear). We've always had a special bond over music and during high school played music almost every day at my parents house. Since he was a bassist we'd spend hours jamming awful but periodically awesome music - somehow my parents didn't mind or just didn't show it. We ended up going to college together (that was brief for me!) and were both part of the coveted Orange House brotherhood. I've seen Zach go from a rat murdering college student to a great father and loving husband (hey Britt!). I've also seen Zach throw up more than anyone else in the world.
Alex Lavayen (The Wizard of Lavs) - Groomsman
Lavs and I first hung out at the Bamboozle Left music festival in 2008 while watching Streetlight Manifesto - he was wearing plaid pants and drinking pomegranate juice - a diabolical combination. Fitting that we met at a concert as we've shared a love of music ever since and have written hundreds of songs together across multiple projects. Outside of Arielle & I's relationship - we probably have the closest thing to a marriage from the years of being in bands - learning how to create and compromise - something I am very grateful for. One of the best storytellers out there with the most infectious laugh known to man, woman, or beast.
Max Mirman (Shwang) - Groomsman
I met Max in high school through some mutual friends and was a little unsure of him at first. Public school kids already scared me...and add the fact that he also played lacrosse was nightmarish. We became way closer in college when he & Zach were my freshman year roommates and eventual Orange House alumni. We went through A LOT those 2 short years but honestly they were some of the most fun days of my life. Max used to sleep through his alarm clock and miss his finals - now he is probably the most responsible person I know and always willing to extend a helping hand. With that said, his main in Super Smash Bro's 64 is Kirby...

The Brats

Tyler Bumstead - Slay of Honor
My longest standing friend! We met in Big Bear when I was 14 years old - rockin the bangs, wearing too much Roxy (I had a full luggage set), and listening to Hilary Duff. He has seen me through thick and thin, many shitty boyfriends, and too many good memories to list. Despite his undying love for Taylor Swift he is one of my favorite people and someone who I consider family.
Rachel Hacken - Bridesmaid
Rachel and I met in the trenches of "assistant life" while working in the music industry some 8 odd years ago. Due to this we are bonded by the trial of fire we both endured - making us the HBIC's we are today. This virgo has a tender heart but there isn't a damn thing or person on this planet she couldn't keep in check. Always planning ahead, google grids galore, and an epic playlist for every situation. Honestly...not sure why we didn't hire her to plan this wedding.
Alexandria Salsa - Bridesmaid
Tasked with the unfortunate role of being my younger sister - Alexandria and I have literally seen it all together. Our first karate dojo, piano lessons, swim teams, and numerous Hilary Duff x Aaron Carter dance performances...tragically put on for my parents far too often. With a massive heart and a passion for animals - she is the cozy/bookworm/elvish sister i'm so lucky to have.
Lindsay Brazil - Bridesmaid
Our relationship started years ago when The Pretty Cult was barely off the ground and she was the first photographer to DM me. I was shocked and extremely flattered as her photos are incredible. From that DM sprouted an incredible friendship and many many photoshoots, an unofficial book club, and some (ok...a lot) of fairy smut. She loves pirates (just needed to say that). She has be there for some of the wilder moments in the TPC expanded universe and will continue to be at the epicenter of this journey wherever it takes us.
Erin Day - Bridesmaid
I met Erin at a Rock Night Out event (thanks Rachel!) and from there we sprouted an almost instant friendship - realizing we both lived right next to each-other in Hollywood. She was the first official Kitty Aunt to our babies Lilith & Xena - a title not given lightly. She can cook the meanest Thanksgiving feast and you can always find her with the fiercest hair and makeup on point. Despite her being a Slytherin you can always find her "having the best time"
Vanessa Modry - Bridesmaid (Keeper of The Steve)
Vanessa and I are (at the moment) the only two women crazy enough to marry into the Modry family. We've grown a lot closer over the years and it's been so awesome to watch you become a badass mom to two of the sweetest girls. Seriously being an aunt to Natalie & Claire is so fun. I always look forward to Fridays and catching up on our wild week over an aperol spritz. It is truly an honor to have her as my sister in law.
Lauren Modry - Bridesmaid
As Kevin's older sister (i'm so sorry) it was a bit intimidating at first to want to impress you. Turns out I didn't need to be worried as you were nothing but welcoming from the beginning. I've always had a great time with you on our adventures - sitting on the beach in Maui, boat rides in Arrowhead, or chatting "woo woo" shit by the pool. Now that you're gaining another sister I look forward to many more adventures together!
