We met in middle school, however our close friendship started freshman year of high school. We were in a resource class, where we met every other day in the library and hung out. Nico had a big crush on Bailey, but she put him in the formidable friendzone for over a year. A year where our friendship grew closer :)

This was, according to Nico, "TOTALLY A DATE", our first date. He was still in the friendzone, but we went to Friday Night Live, a concert on the green in Herndon.

We don't have a photo from the day of, but this was two weeks after we started dating. We were in the cafeteria together with friends and Nico was a ball of nerves. Bailey had a feeling why, and she threw carrots at him until he asked her to be his girlfriend.

We came home from school and had to go a few months without each other during COVID. We got together for Bailey's birthday though! Ft. Mr. Kitten, our first cat.

Unlike when Nico asked Bailey to be his girlfriend: There was no carrot throwing here. This time, Bailey had NO clue what was going to happen, and there were many tears shed. Nico pulled off a pretty legendary proposal.

Thank you to all our friends and family who were there, and who did SO MUCH to make this day happen for us. It was so incredibly special.

Life After Engagement: Consisted of going home from the beach, Bailey starting Pilates Certification training, Nico starting his FULL TIME JOB! We also moved into our new townhome (rented, nobody get too excited) on Lake Anne, and spent a lot of time painting and putting it together before our trip to Washington. (Shout out to everyone that helped, especially Bailey's Dad!!). Pictured here: how Nico and I ate dinner for two weeks straight.
