Blake and Danielle met on a blind date in late October of 2022, set up by mutual friends.

Ming's Cafe in Glenwood Springs will forever be the first time they laid eyes on each other, first enjoyed laughs together, and discovered all that they had in common-while having no clue what was in store for them!

After their first date, Blake made sure they were to see each other again, and soon! In no time, they became inseparable. From activities like skiing, running or biking, to the more mundane things in life-spending their time together became the priority. What was Danielle's two dogs (Monty and Oakley), and Blake's one dog (Charlie) soon became 'their three dogs.'

It was clear that these two had fallen in love, and deeply. They soon after bought their first house, already planning for a life together in the mountains.

As much as Blake and Danielle enjoy their community in Glenwood, Steamboat Springs always held a special place in their hearts. Whether it was a weekend trip to enjoy Steamboat’s Champagne Powder or summer hikes up to Fish Creek Falls, weekend trips became a regular occurrence.

On a sunny August 10th, 2024 Blake took Danielle for a hike in Snowmass on the East Snowmass to Willow Lake Trail. As they approached the top, a baby bear came out of a tree and startled both of them, leading to the question-where is mama bear? They backed off slowly, and rounded the corner-little did Danielle know, that was where Blake had planned to drop a knee. After the nerves had died down, Blake asked Danielle to marry him, and she said, YES! Blake later surprised Danielle with friends and family who traveled in to celebrate the engagement.

They will be tying the knot in the beautiful Steamboat Springs on September 26, 2025.
