What’s the dress code?
The wedding is black-tie optional which means put on those tuxedos! Ladies, this is your chance to wear the gown you’ve been keeping in your closet.
However, if you don't have a tuxedo or a gown, there is no need to go out and buy/rent one. You will fit right in wearing a dark suit and tie or a fancy cocktail dress.
The vibe is classic elegance.
Will there be a shuttle?
Yes! We will have a shuttle from the Loews Hotel to Ballroom at the Ben, and back at the end of the night.
Meet in the Lobby of the Loews Hotel at 5:30pm for the shuttle.
Gotta ask, why Philadelphia?
Despite being a (North) Jersey girl, born and raised, Brett spent the past decade living in Philadelphia. She is looking forward to building a new community and home with Brian in Cincinnati, but Philly will always have part of her heart (and her football allegiance #GoBirds).
Is everything walkable?
Yes! Philadelphia as a whole is a very walkable city, and the area of town where the venue and host hotels are is well-occupied, lit, and full of excitement. As long as the weather and your footwear cooperates, walking is no problem. Having said that, Ubers/Lyfts/taxis are very easy to get when traveling within Center City.
Is the neighborhood safe?
Short answer, yes. Long answer, it's a city. As mentioned earlier, the area is very well lit/active, and to walk from the various hotels to/from the venue you'll be passing restaurants, bars, etc. that are open late on a Saturday night. However, it's still a major city, so you always want to be careful. Especially with how stylish you'll all be looking for the wedding!
Should we spend more time in Philadelphia?
Brett feels strongly that Philadelphia is a very underrated city. In addition to all of the historic landmarks, there is a great arts scene and food scene. While there is a lot going on, Philadelphia is a very manageable/walkable city so if you're able to spend some time on Saturday or Sunday exploring, we highly recommend it.
Are children invited?
No. Trust us, we love kids! We love your kids! But for the night of our wedding, we'd love for you to leave your kids at home.
