The second chapter of our love story began like many modern day love stories do - on a dating app. But we werent complete strangers when the Bumble algorithm brought us together.


Narrator - Chandler was one of Coles sister Sydneys first friends at Gonzaga, and despite differing paths at school, they remained close throughout their college years. Unbeknownst to Cole, Chandler met his mom and a couple siblings before he even knew she existed. One time, after moving to Seattle, Chandler even ventured into Coles house! They hadnt even met yet! Theres a story there.


Point is, this was a modern day romance with a two ships passing in the night sort of twist.


Our first date was at Ruebens Brewery in Ballard, to this day one of our favorites. What followed was a flurry of exciting dates and a pretty immediate realization that this could go the distance.


Weve since enjoyed countless memorable adventures near and far, brought home a very special pup named Arlo, and are making our first house a home together in West Seattle.


We got engaged on an annual hike weve been doing for the past 4 years, through the Enchantments. This time around, instead of a 23 mile day with nothing but a profound soreness at the end, we enjoyed a mini-bottle of champagne on the shores of Lake Colchuck, and hiked back down to celebrate with our families in Leavenworth.


This journey of ours has been magical, and we cant wait to see whats in store for us after we mark this milestone with all our people.
