Our Wedding

I was at Avon softball fields helping coach/ playing with a mens team with my friend Eric. Dontae was in town for a little bit scoping out the area before he was moving down here from Michigan. He was with a guy that played on the team I coached and was also looking to play, The guy asked if we needed another one because he had someone looking to play, I said yes we do so he said he would bring Dontae. I was standing on the first baseline of field 2 facing the fields when he got there. I heard his voice first. I turned around and saw him, snapped my head back around to Eric and said " Who is that? Because I need my some of him in my life!" Eric laughed and said " That's our pick up!" I simply replied " DIBS!" We moved on and talked more about where to put which player on the field and in the lineup and I wanted to put Dontae and shortstop but Eric wanted him in the outfield. I told Eric to try his way first but he was wrong and I was determined to prove it. The other team kept hitting at the guy Eric put at shortstop and he couldn't stop a single thing. Finally get the third out and the team comes in, I told Eric I was making the switch next inning. I told Dontae he was going to short next inning and he smiled at me, that was the first time I felt my face get red hot while looking at this man. Fast forward to the next inning, Dontae at shortstop, the other team tried to hit at him, this man made every single play, three up- three down, we get to hit again. I pulled Eric to the side and said "I told you that you were wrong, and I still call dibs."A couple weeks go by and Eric, my sister Montana, and I decided to go out to eat at Bubbas 33 in Avon. Dontae and I had been talking off and on for that whole time period, he had moved down here from Detroit and I invited him to meet us to eat. He showed up and we decided to go bowling after. We had been flirting the whole night, having a great time. I was wearing a cropped white Pacers hoodie and skinny jeans, I ended up getting hot and wanted to go to my car to change into a jersey I had in the car. Well Dontae being the respectful, protective man that he is, wouldn't let me walk by myself so he walked me to my car. He looked away while I changed my shirt at my car (pretty sure I saw him peek lol) then when I closed the liftgate of the back of my SUV he walked over to me, wrapped his arms around me and kissed me. That's when I knew this man was gonna be mine. That kiss started the most amazing chapter of my life. Dontae and I hung out that night and were inseparable since. We met for the first time ever on April 27,2025. He asked me to be his girlfriend at that same bowling alley on June 27,2025 and dropped onto one knee and asked me to " make him the happiest man alive and marry him" on September 6,2025 with some of the most important people in our lives present. Dontae walked into my life when I was so sure I was staying single for a long long time and finally made peace with it just being Christian and I for the rest of our lives, me and my bestie girl against the world! He has shown me what it truly feels like to be loved the right way and respected. Random flowers on a Saturday morning before I wake up, buying my favorite drink without me asking, remembering my order from almost every place we have ever eaten together. Loving my daughter like she is his own, raising our four babies together and building this life with him has been so much fun, I can't wait to see what comes next!

Heather and I met playing slowpitch softball! Yes, that is where I have met a lot of the people in my life. Like most female friendships, ours started with " when I first met you I thought you were a bitch, you had a nasty look on your face". Lucky for both of us, we are both in fact bitches and I think that is a big reason why this friendship works as well as it does! We have so many of the same thoughts about ourselves, people we like, people we don't like, other friends we share, and most definitely eachother! You know that friend you can look at and have a whole conversation without even talking? That is Heather and I. We bonded over both being mamas and loving the game of softball and juggling the two! She is a friend I can always count on for anything. I had a hard time picking between her and Michaela so I decided I wasn't going to! Michaela being my maid of honor and Heather being my matron of honor, I know with these two by my side, everything will run smoothly! Well, as smooth as a wooden roller coaster, but I know they will handle all the bumps and jerks then tell me later! Probably as they are giving me alcohol!  

Heather

Montana is my little sister. But she is oh so much more than that! Montana is one of my favorite people ever! She never fails to make me laugh (usually by doing something dumb and crazy) and keep me on my toes! Like any sister duo, Tana and I have our fights, but I would stand toe to toe with ANYONE for this girl. Getting to stand by her side as she married her now husband Kip back in June 2025 was some of my favorite memories with my baby sister and I can't wait to make more when she stands by me on my day!

Montana

Oh where to even begin with Sav?! Sav is my cousin from my dad's side. We always got along great but really only hung out if the family got together. I ordered Chic-fil-a one day on DoorDash and when I opened the door, I found Savannah!! It was like we never missed a beat! Snapchatting and texting everyday, hanging out all the time, ( she even stayed with me for a few months *but didn't move in* IYKYK) I will forever be thankful for ordering DoorDash that day! I am so excited to have her next to me on my big day, and she even asked me to stand next to her on her big day! ALL THE MEMORIES!!!

Savannah

Sophia and I met when she started dating my friend Peyton! (Another person I met through softball lol) At first we all were very unsure she would even make it past the friend group just because we are all crazy and she seemed (at the time) like such a quiet, sweet girl! We all learned very quickly that she is EXACTLY where she belongs and fits right in! My girl, my friend, my nail tech, and now my bridesmaid! I love having her in my life and I can't imagine life without her!
