Our Story
We met thanks to a little matchmaking—Elise’s coworker and Roman’s Uncle James introduced us. From the very beginning, we felt something special. Roman saw Elise as sweet, genuine, and a little reserved. Their first date even came with a funny story—Elise accidentally dropped her leftovers, which broke the ice and made the night more memorable. Elise, on the other hand, thought Roman was handsome, confident, and one of the easiest people she’d ever talked to.
What started as just meeting quickly turned into spending nearly every day together. It didn’t take long for us to realize this was something real and lasting. Elise had been praying for someone with the very qualities Roman has, and when he walked into her life, it felt like those prayers were answered.
When it came time to propose, Roman chose Cave Point County Park in Door County. We hadn’t been there together before, but since we both love hiking and being outdoors, it felt like the perfect spot. He tried to wait for the right moment when no one was around, which was tricky on such a busy day, but eventually the timing worked out. That’s when he asked—and Elise said yes.
From that first clumsy dinner date to now, our story has been full of love, laughter, and answered prayers.
