Mitch spent his childhood summers coming up to San Juan Island for weekends of fishing, crabbing, boating, biking, and everything in between. It has always been a place of fun and adventure for him.

When Emily and Mitch started dating, he wanted to show her how fantastic the island was and brought her up for a weekend. They had an amazing time with Mitch's family kayaking, disc golfing, eating BBQ oysters, and watching the stars.

When COVID happened and the world shut down, they spent most of the summer on the island with Mitch's family to keep themselves sane.

San Juan Island has brought Mitch and Emily joy in good times and has been a source of solace for them through hard times. It is a place very close to both of their hearts and they can't imagine anywhere else to celebrate their marriage.
