If you are in the wedding party, then you will get additional instructions soon for a rehearsal dinner which is being scheduled for the evening of Friday, August 8, 2025.

No color restrictions. Wear your dancing shoes, and the party will continue even if it rains!

It will be HOT (probably 80's+) and there will be a chance of rain at this time of year (rain is usually intermittent bursts throughout the day with beautiful stretches of sun in-between). We would recommend you wear comfortable summer-style clothing for your time in Puerto Vallarta - shorts, sandals, bathing suits, sunglasses, etc. (and don't forget your sunscreen!).

There are taxi or Uber options from the airport to the Zona Romántica/Conchas Chinas area. This is about a 20-30 minute drive and usually costs between $25-$35 USD. If you wish to use an Uber, you will need to cross a street bridge after you exit the airport (to your left upon walking outside) since the airport does not allow Ubers directly inside for pick-up. There is also a taxi station office directly to your right after you come outside from the airport where you can probably get the best price for a taxi (and they accept credit cards).

The wedding venue is in Conchas Chinas and will only be a 5-minute drive from Zona Romántica. If you don't wish to take the shuttle, then Uber is also an option and would likely be $5-$10 USD each way. Please note: venue is NOT walkable from Zona Romántica or the Conchas Chinas hotels.

Many places will accept USD and/or U.S. credit cards. You will just want to check with your bank/credit card vendor in case you need to set an advance travel notice or to understand if they charge any international fees for use abroad. Pesos can be obtained: (1) in advance via an order with your U.S. bank, (2) at a currency exchange counter when you land at the airport in Mexico, or (3) via a local ATM in Puerto Vallarta. Option #1 has the least fees if you can arrange in advance, but when we travel here we almost always just use local ATMs which we have found to charge us less fees/give us better exchange rates than the currency exchange counters.
